Mitch Clark's 6 goals - how ... 'depressing'.
DubDee replied to bush demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I dont doubt he has depression and I feel for him. I also dont doubt he is a pr!ck that screwed us over. from my unfortunately extensive personal experience with depression - and im generalising here - usually stability is recommended, not change when very depressed. Being around people you know and that can support you helps massively. One of the most stress inducing things is changing your job or surroundings when depressed. So unless MFC was physically or mentally abusive place I dont buy the change of scenery BS until I know more this will continue to be my opinion (fair or unfair). Those that think he only played well coz it was Cheney are kidding themselves. He bossed every defender he was on in his few games for the Dees. He'll get 60+ goals this year if he stays on the park -

I would luv it if we beat Geelong Luv it! -
Scenario. Apologies. I've been drinking- Maybe living up to the dub in my name Cloke retires from Collingwood due to depression. Few months later signs with the Hawks. I'm assuming this gets the same reaction as Clark is getting??

What a cvnt. Retired my ar$e. I have the upmost respect for people that carry on with depression but this is beyond his illness. He chose to retire and walk out on us. See any dees players tweeting tonight saying congrats? Put money on him for the Coleman

not named: brayshaw, harmes, howe, hunt, kent, king, o-mac, anb, petracca, spencer, riley, terlich, trengove, vince, white take out injured, you are left with: brayshaw, harmes, hunt, kent, king, o-mac, spencer, riley, terlich, white do we take from this that the above guys will be very unlikely to play round 1? some young guys there understandably but if I was Riley, Terlich and Spencer I would be worried. Kent must be being managed strange approach Roosey is taking, usually NAB is seen as getting 2 games into all fit players but he is treating it like firming his 22. fair enough i say! just different to his usual style.

Open training miscommunication - another MFC unforced error
DubDee replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Im hearing people say "not everyone has twitter" as if most people do and its only the oldies that don't? im in my mid thirties and I dont have a twitter account (as I dont care to know what xx celebrity had for breakfast). nearly all my mates are the same so using this as the main way to communicate anything to members is ridiculous -
Melbourne v Fremantle @ Fremantle Oval - 5th March, 2015
DubDee replied to Bleeds_Red_&_Blue's topic in Melbourne Demons
That's a fair point but was garland was excellent in 2013 and was on par with jonsey imo. Big difference between 2nd and 3rd that year -

Some thoughts Really surprised at how poor Gawn was. I thought he could kick a little, it's like he's been learning off spencer. One game in so hopefully a once off I think Dawes and hogan will be a great twin towers combo Newton will be a good player I liked T macs games. Got involved Really happy with how we cam back in the third. Freo were putting in and had a strong team out Now to get a win against the saints. Bring watts Viney etc in -

I agree. I assume Johnny Farnham must be busy? but the thing is, who would you have instead? garauntee it is impossible to please everyone with music I'd just You Am I to play it every year. but thats just me. :-) -
I don't see GWS improving much. Lost Patton and Boyd. Plowman out again so not many good key backs. Deep through the midfield but I suspect a few lads will be looking to leave at years end. I reckon we will finish above them. I see us above gws Carlton, dogs, dons, west coast, st kilda finish around 12th West coast have lost Kerr cox embley waters and now b&f Mckenzie. Not a good midfield

Can't believe Beer is not being lowered. Its the only thing I buy at the footy and I have a lot of it, mostly to numb the pain have to go back to sneaking in some whisky

Far out this is depressing. Season hasn't even started and people are thinking a pass mark is losing 16 games?! We really should have won 6 in 2014 given how many close ones we were in. I know it's easy to we should have, but I believe that So saying 6 is a pass is expecting not much improvement at all. Surely we have more expectation than that? Anything less that 8 wins is not a pass for me. I'm expecting 8-10 wins. And it's not about saying which other teams won't improve, that'll take care of itself. There are so many surprises each year. Who would thought flag favourites west coast would not make finals. Or that we would beat the crows away etc. We have a lot of middle tier players that should improve and are in their peak years watts howe garland grimes And we have heaps of young talent that should naturally get fitter and better viney Tyson Salem etc Go dees!

Thanks mate. Guess I'll have to head up to Ballarat for the dogs game then

Well I've had a good sleep and the dust has settled on this terrible news and Im still as angry and devastated as yesterday!!! The poor bloke! I am just hoping to any higher power that might exist that this does not lead to re-occurrance and that he still becomes a great player for us -
