certainly was impressive to rebuild the list and make a GF. A list that didn't need rebuilding but nevertheless. However, by our (eg Goodys) standards he would not have gotten the chance. After 2 years of no finals with a talented list, he would have got the sack. Interesting to compare the 2 careers. Goody actually has the better finals record too.

I would say with 15 premiership players in the 22 then yes. In Collingwoods case they were young and highly touted as the dynasty - more than most. He underperformed supremely and if not a pies legend would have been sacked years earlier

Goodwin and Buckley have fairly similar coaching records Goody has the better finals record and obviously Bucks took over a premiership team Vs Goodwin a young up and coming team Bucks missed finals for 4 years with a very good list. I'm far from convinced
