  1. Not liking the style of Freo at all. Cunningham is good
  2. Not quite what I meant. I often like your posts, but sometimes I think you just yell to yourself inside your head and then quote people who are having a discussion just so that rage is backed up on some server somewhere.
  3. Just did a quick check, so could be wrong, but doesn't New Balance have a revenue in the billions per year? Hardly small. Pedantry aside, I think people conflate the business side and the playing side of the MFC too much. It's the sum of all parts that leads to a successful footy club, not mushing it all together and having a whinge.
  4. I find it a bit strange that a club would telegraph it that openly.
  5. Thought when he came over he was great, but then we had players that were so woeful he may have looked the standout. I still think he's (a bit more than) serviceable and can't see a trade for a pick being worthwhile if it just gives us another young un' who needs to develop when, given what happened this year and the expectations that we all will have for next year. We will need mature bodies. IF it can be some complex trade that gives us a mature body that is even a slight upgrade, yeah for sure. But that's probably a yes from everybody. So I'm not a yes or a no, I'm; ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  6. @Nasher or @Demonland do you have any stats on the most people viewing a non mfc games thread at one time? Are we going to hit a record?
  7. Wow that was a crap kick into the forward 50. I thought we were the only team that did that?
  8. Should have an Adelaide V West Coast Game Day Thread =D
  9. Well done Pedo, absolutely deserves it. One of the few times I've been right about something footy related (he's not a bad player), and seeing that tweet with his kids made it even better. #gopedz
  10. Yuck. Can we not have the Demons forum go down that rabbit hole that is General Discussion please?
  11. In such a close year, I'm not sure it really is* *see Demonland ** ** Unless we lose tomorrow
  12. Don't know either mate, just throwing some numbers out there Looking forward to being at the game.
  13. People love their footy down here, North did a good job of getting cash to play and get more members signed up. Just did a quick search, but last year they had 7000 Tassie members signed up. Anecdotally from where I work tho a number of people have signed up as members despite following other teams, cos it's relatively cheap for three games and they don't have to stand in GA if they want to see their team play and go to a few games.
  14. Pretty sure a lot of the North Members are going to be in the Ricky Ponting stand, so hopefully you'll be alright. Don't worry about the ferals, worry about the weather, it's going to be cold and rainy so rug up. If the wind comes across the Derwent it's nasty!
  15. Bunch of bloody slackers imo, get a job!!!! We're the bloody lucky country we don't need the government to help us out, or individuals to gift to to the has nots, cos that's communism, class warfare, race politics, bludgers.
  16. Correct. But I was quoting you buddy. Again, the topic of this thread doesn't hurt me in anyway or affect my life. If it affects someone positively I'm all for it. If someone gets a bit cranky about it on the internet and their quality of life isn't substantially affected... I don't really give a fizzle whizzle.
  17. That's fine. I also don't see the "tokenism" and letting "other people" gush as a valid viewpoint because I perceive more meaning in that than I probably should. But that's okay too I also don't see the problem with organisational plans that try to encourage other people in the community who aren't like me. I've got it pretty easy and I feel it's pretty easy to say (from my perspective) "You know what, it doesn't hurt me and if there is a positive response to something that in no way affects me, changes my life etc. etc. and makes a difference to younger members of our community I'm all for it". I'm not into "race politics" either. Because it's lame and being nice isn't hard.
