  1. @Nasher or @Demonland do you have any stats on the most people viewing a non mfc games thread at one time? Are we going to hit a record?
  2. Wow that was a crap kick into the forward 50. I thought we were the only team that did that?
  3. Should have an Adelaide V West Coast Game Day Thread =D
  4. Well done Pedo, absolutely deserves it. One of the few times I've been right about something footy related (he's not a bad player), and seeing that tweet with his kids made it even better. #gopedz
  5. Yuck. Can we not have the Demons forum go down that rabbit hole that is General Discussion please?
  6. In such a close year, I'm not sure it really is* *see Demonland ** ** Unless we lose tomorrow
  7. Don't know either mate, just throwing some numbers out there Looking forward to being at the game.
  8. People love their footy down here, North did a good job of getting cash to play and get more members signed up. Just did a quick search, but last year they had 7000 Tassie members signed up. Anecdotally from where I work tho a number of people have signed up as members despite following other teams, cos it's relatively cheap for three games and they don't have to stand in GA if they want to see their team play and go to a few games.
  9. Pretty sure a lot of the North Members are going to be in the Ricky Ponting stand, so hopefully you'll be alright. Don't worry about the ferals, worry about the weather, it's going to be cold and rainy so rug up. If the wind comes across the Derwent it's nasty!
  10. Bunch of bloody slackers imo, get a job!!!! We're the bloody lucky country we don't need the government to help us out, or individuals to gift to to the has nots, cos that's communism, class warfare, race politics, bludgers.
  11. Correct. But I was quoting you buddy. Again, the topic of this thread doesn't hurt me in anyway or affect my life. If it affects someone positively I'm all for it. If someone gets a bit cranky about it on the internet and their quality of life isn't substantially affected... I don't really give a fizzle whizzle.
  12. That's fine. I also don't see the "tokenism" and letting "other people" gush as a valid viewpoint because I perceive more meaning in that than I probably should. But that's okay too I also don't see the problem with organisational plans that try to encourage other people in the community who aren't like me. I've got it pretty easy and I feel it's pretty easy to say (from my perspective) "You know what, it doesn't hurt me and if there is a positive response to something that in no way affects me, changes my life etc. etc. and makes a difference to younger members of our community I'm all for it". I'm not into "race politics" either. Because it's lame and being nice isn't hard.
  13. Nice try. Expand a bit on that sentence. Within the context of what it's actually about. "The RAP is a business plan that documents what an organisation commits to and will contribute to reconciliation in Australia." Cheers
  14. Yeah that one seemed a bit obvious.
  15. It's not a court of law. I thought he *might* get 6 downgraded to 5 for the guilty plea. But please and not you here Jnrmac, but "Melbourne rolling over" is just dumb. It looked so bad if you don't think 5-6 is reasonable (and forget the attempts at precedent by the bush lawyers) yer dreaming.
  16. He's an absolute ripper, no razzamatazz about his game and that's why he's not talked about much in the media. His body work is phenomenal against any size, spoils and gets the ball out. Love him!
  17. Seppuku would have done it, really showed he meant what he was saying
  18. Pretty much full strength Sydney team. We didn't have a forward line and after half the game our best two grunt mids were out (one before the game). We got through the nightmare three weeks with 2 wins, I doubt many thought we would. I don't mind a bit of fun and agression, but Bugg was seriously [censored] stupid tonight and as much as I think he is a good footballer that was crap. Which leads to another point, we keep losing players to dumb actions, which needs to be addressed.
  19. That was in reference to Nasher saying that he was hit in the chin. Plenty of people are disputing that, from the Bigfooty numptys, to my mates who wanted to link some rubbish on Facebook to annoy me after the win among others. And that's the problem, this has been put in a blender mix of the actual incident, social media and the pundits until the only recourse is to find the WC player not guilty because what actually happened is not important. Now we have a nineteen year old (and yeah he should have stayed off Twitter afterwards) that is going to cop it for years because the AFL wouldn't do anything about diving when people weren't actually hit and weren't smart enough to do the WC player for high incidental contact and not have given him a week in the first place (should have been one week downgraded for a guilty plea) knowing what was going to happen after their kid gloves in the past. What a big pile of meh! Sorry for the rant
  20. Still trying to get out of here... Nope for me
  21. No times for being rational, just enjoying it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RijB8wnJCN0
