Yes I am too. English and Italian. Being a teacher gives one the opportunity to give Collingwood supporting students a detention on just about any pretext. I enjoyed giving a detention to that delightful Collingwood student who predicted to me one Friday afternoon prior to a Collingwood v Melbourne game " youse are goin down !!!!!! " That detention was for poor grammar.

I have no idea what the outcome of this game will be. One thing I will say is that the dogs are ferocious in their attack on the ball and the ball carrier. This is probably an area in which they have improved this year. We have the capacity to put equivalent pressure to force turnovers however and if we come with that intent, we can match them. I think the players believe this now too more than any other time in recent memory. This , combined with our improved firepower should get us over the line. I will be in Bateman's bay on Sunday eating oysters. D'landers, please give an extra shout for me at the G. I will be there in spirit.

Many MFC members are in effect making a donation to the club if they have an MCC/ MFC membership, as they dont need admission to the game, going in via the MCC members. The people doing this need to be congratulated for paying the extra which they are happy to do and of course ALL MCC members who barrack for Melbourne should do it. We are 5 MCC members in our family who have the joint membership. All like MCC members should do the same, then we'll get the numbers up

I said to my son as we watched the game Saturday that we needed a concerted 10 minutes of ruck work from Pederson each quarter too give big Max a chop out and a bit of a breather. He doesnt set the world on fire in the ruck but he won half a dozen taps and always made a contest. What hes doing is helping the team enormously. Well deserved place in the team.
