One of sports greatest commentators Richie Benaud had 8 rules for commentary, Never ask a statement. Remember the value of a pause. There are no teams in the world called 'we' or 'they'. Avoid cliches and banalities, such as 'he's hit that to the boundary', 'he won't want to get out now', 'of course', 'as you can see on the screen'. The Titanic was a tragedy, the Ethiopian drought a disaster, and neither bears any relation to a dropped catch. Put your brain into gear before opening your mouth. Concentrate fiercely at all times. Above all, don't take yourself too seriously, and have fun. -The channel 7 commentators get every one wrong.

Never trust anything a journo like McClure says.

I spoke to a friend of his last week. He said that he will be fine, recovering really well, Dees being cautious.

He did a great job getting his flag through homophobic Chinese customs.

I did, looked out the window, saw snow, no footy until QB so why not. Oh I see what you mean, yes the red wine and meals were great.
-
There is not much snow, about 150mm on Bourke St (mainly man made)

Gorg we will have to wait until he signs a lucrative long contract before we can bag him.

I live in rural Victoria and we have had fixed wireless NBN for some time 25-50Mbps down & 5-20Mbps up. At work 3 km away we have ADSL and no date for NBN.

You're probably right Django, it's not covered by Godwins law, perhaps it should be.

You said "reading between the lines" and then you made two assumptions. 1 "it looks like a classic case of manager overreach" 2 "that has required an expectations realignment process to take place." Must have been an easy English examination that year.
-
What they really said was "toss you off". Offer was accepted from what I heard.

Assumption :- noun 1. a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof. "they made certain assumptions about the market" synonyms: supposition, presupposition, presumption, premise, belief, expectation, conjecture, speculation, surmise, guess, theory, hypothesis, postulation, conclusion, deduction, inference, thought, suspicion, notion, impression, fancy; Copuchas, you read between the lines and yet you claim to not make an assumption, you cannot have it both ways, however I agree the arrogance of some here is truly breathtaking.

EDIT:- Beware weak gutted friends - Attached is a computer graphic that depicts something almost as vile as bad umpiring! From AFL.com http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-05-12/umpire-pannell-laughs-off-the-criticism May12th EXPERIENCED umpire Troy Pannell has found time to laugh about being in the spotlight after he paid 17 free kicks to the Western Bulldogs and just one to Adelaide last Saturday night. Keen to move on from the controversy, Pannell told K-Rock radio that laughter was the best way to cope with the scrutiny that inevitably comes an umpire's way when the free-kick count is lopsided. "For me, I tend to laugh about it a little bit. It makes it a little bit easier," Pannell said after visiting Geelong umpires on Wednesday night. "People blow up photos and put them on your desk. You really need to laugh it off." Ha ha, really funny, stuff up every week and just laugh it off.

Some posters here are very pedantic. Well done.

Yes, that reinforces your argument. From Wikipedia:- A free market is a system in which the prices for goods and services are determined by the open market and consumers, in which the laws and forces of supply and demand are free from any intervention by a government, price-setting monopoly, or other authority. It is a result of a need being, then the need being met. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_market Edit:- I note the ProDee removed his pointless post. This makes this post less pertinent. However I shall leave it as it does show why there is potential for problems with a true free market as I indicated earlier. I note that ProDee is not interested in a D&M possibly because facts are involved.
-
Surely you are not advocating for a true free market. Heroin dealers in the main street, child prostitution and exploitation no I'm sorry PD we need some controls not a free market, then it is 50 shades of grey, how much control is appropriate and how much is too much. I am anti pokies, if you think the community needs them then make them not for profit.

The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here
ManDee replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
Would be like a sandgroper anyone saying they don't trust Victorian journos because of Barrett what journos say. Journos are in the entertainment business, they sell advertising FCS. I put more faith in what a taxi driver tells me and that is not much. -
