Surely Hunt Deserves a Rising Star Nomination
ManDee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
2012 is worthy of mention as it was won by Daniel Talia - the only stat for the year that he won was games played, in many of the top indicators he was not in the top 50. From round 16 onwards there were some handy players, most with season stats better than Talia, Josh Caddy, Brandon Ellis, Adam Treloar, Devon Smith, Sam Blease, Sam Shaw and Chad Wingard. This may reinforce the argument that the winner has already been nominated but it does not make it right. Talia was 79th for disposals averaging 8.09 per game (23 games), Toby Green was nominated round 14 averaging 28.37 disposals per game (18 games) Edit: Last year Hogan managed 13.05 disposals per game (20 games) plus lots of goals - Patrick Cripps 23.55disp per game (20 games) - How did Talia win it? Must be the no D1CKHEADS policy. -

No one has won it this late so it is impossible, is that your argument? -

Round 9 last year Jesse Hogan, no it's not too late. 2014 round 9 Lewis Taylor. 2013 Jaegar O'Meara round 5. 2012 round 12 Daniel Talia -
Sorry, couldn't resist. Thanks for the reports.

And Dawes is? At least Spencer can ruck, take a mark and snag the odd goal. Dawes.........like gravity has the ability to bring the ball to the ground, unfortunately unlike gravity he gives away silly free kicks and takes the place of a player with functioning hands.

Tired thumbs?
-
Not sure if you are suggesting he is ugly or auto-correct got you, such a pity. I thought that thumb typing should be banned, now I am sure, perhaps just a young guy making errors. Sorry Dub, I am a bit bored at work.

Sorry, humour must have been lost somewhere. Maybe the question mark required a squiggle.

Trade Dawes for Cloke? No, we have enough rubbish from Colonwood.

A garbage bin.

Ahh! a touch of Tingay, quite right, but faster.
-
Not really he is about 3" taller that Tingay - I met Tingay and was surprised at how small he was, muscly but short. 5'10 ish

DC, they keep making up words, many of these come from people that can only type with their thumbs FCS! Personally any word not appearing in a dictionary printed since our most recent flag has no right to be considered. I will not waiver until we have another flag, then by all means have your "mealstrom" you can even include farnarkle for all I care.

It is a word! That's it I give up.

Live in Adelaide on 7. It's a disgrace really, the only reason I have Foxtel.

Picket, Picket, Picket, Peter Moore had to beat some champions of the game to win the Brownlow. Flower, Hawkins, DiPierdomenico, Ablett, Tuck, Williams, Lockett. Moore was the stand out player that year. Jeff White was an All Australian ruckman and regularly had 20+ possession games not A+ ? You will note that the other names I mentioned were behind Bernie Vince, knocking on the door. I did not mention Templeton because he was past it when he came to us.

Good ol' Topaz Tilly, built like Tarzan played like Jane, one of the most over rated players I can remember. Twice the size of a young Robbie Flower with half the heart. Edit:- Sorry Sir Robert, 1/1000th the heart.
-
Yes, that would help get one back to sleep.
-
Peter Moore 1984 Brownlow medalist Jeff White 2004 All Australian Edit:- Gotta go Bernie Vince is knocking on the door. He has a few mates with him, Carl Ditterich, Brent Crosswell, Phil Carmen, Mark Jackson and Byron Picket. Edit 2:- Maybe you are right, that is not one.

Au contraire. I was taking exception to the heading optimist only, it should be optimists only.
-
Optimist only. Are you implying that there is only one?

"The young Demon will also be placed on the medication he took when the illness first flared in 2014, causing him to lose six kilograms prior to that year's Christmas break." What does that mean? The medication that caused him to lose six kilos or the illness caused him to lose six kilos. Perhaps it should be worded. The young Demon will be placed on the same medication prescribed after he lost six kilos when the illness first flared prior to Christmas 2014
