Buckley has grown on me. He started out a bit defensive, but he is pretty straight down the line now. Roos tends to dance around questions or play the straight bat.

We do have a little bit of time to get it right. I think after yesterday Hogan is entitled to be annoyed at the midfield delivery. Our midfield was selfish yesterday, and they really let the side down. The stats might look good, but the midfield was ineffective. Thankfully, we have Salem and Brayshaw coming through, two guys who will lower their eyes and hit Jesse lace out.

They just don't lower their eyes, Jones never really has. Vince certainly doesn't. I understand it was a slippery day, but too often when they had space they just bombed it in. The midfield might've had reasonably good stats, but it is a day they'd rather forget IMO.

Criticism should be directed at the blokes who just bombed the ball in, hacked it on their boot and hoped for the best. Poor Jesse Hogan. I'd direct anger towards the midfield, and to a lesser extent the coaches box for letting it happen for 4 quarters.

$5 on offer about us winning by 39 plus. I think that would be a near certainty on a dry day. So I will wait and see how the conditions are, but the forecasters are expecting rain. So might be looking at a wet match. I will probably double down on that bet if it rains, but I'd hope for better value that $5's if that were the case.

I don't think it's the tank. But Hird will conveniently push the rebuild factor, it is the only way he'll keep his job beyond this year - WADA investigation aside of course. Essendon have a handful of aging players pending retirement, if Hird can push for the rebuild now he'll buy himself another 3 years.

I agree to some extent. But Clark genuinely seems troubled. He has an inherent need for attention, whether it's a cry for help or part of a bigger problem (personality disorder) - I could only speculate. We can all just speculate because anyone in the public who questions Clarks diagnoses, the conversation will then turn on them, and their credentials to make such an assumption. So that ensures that no one can really question Clark. We just have to sit back and watch the show.

I can't find any vision on Weiderman, but I was speaking to a young player I know who swears Weiderman is the best kid in the draft. So I'd be interested to find vision of him, he'd certainly be around our pick. I agree with you 100% that we need another KP. We do have mids. I think we'll get a decent mid with our second pick. I think Lovell or Gresham are as talented as any other mid in the draft, and either could be available at our second pick.

I said Mitch Clark and Belle Gibson would be a good fit, I stand by that 100%, I think they'd be a great fit. It would be a match made in heaven.

They can try and hate him, but I seriously doubt that society will let them. Blokes like Clark are the heroes of the world we live in, they are considered strong, brave and courageous. Forget those that get burned along the way. I reckon he'd be a good fit pairing up with Belle Gibson.

If Matt Jones and Bail can keep getting a game, then I think Toumpas is safe. Jimmy appears to be learning on the job, that is less of an issue without the other 2 in the side.
