I think the answer is simple, the AFL know Hird/Little will take them on. They knew MFC wouldn't, we'd just accept it, just like we accepted mediocrity for seasons on end. There was also more evidence against Carlton than Melbourne, yet the AFL chose to target MFC. We were just an easy target, it was a good time for the AFL to look like they were actually doing something.

I see $2.45 as value. So yes, I have backed the Lions. Brisbane were good for 3 quarters against a quality side last week. MFC couldn't get over the line against a second rate - and depleted - Essendon side. How we are $1.55 favorites is beyond me.

No. Hunt will make it. Had a crook back prior to being drafted. I've always thought he'd be a player, Robert Shaw had him not far behind Salem/Kelly. Blease on the other hand, he won't make it, he has been in the system a long time, and still, it looks as though Blease thinks there is only 1 speed. Speed alone is useless in football, I've seen a lot of quick players, but without brains, they are useless. Blease is useless.
