What a crock of [censored]. Essendon lost their 23 y.o Brownlow medallist and best player Wanganeen to Port Adelaide. He was a 1st round pick. They couldn't stop him, they must be a weak club. Tom Scully has a very very long way to go until he is the quality of Wanganeen. Some people here should just end it all. Woe is us, right? Miserable sods. He's just one player, and he's nowhere as good as Dustin Martin.

He's about to move cities and change employers and his parents can't be involved? He's only 20 FFS, and it's a big decision to make.

Agree. McKenzie was excellent in close. Unfortunately Beamer turned over most of his clearances. Bail was good too.

What's wrong with Gys, Blease and Jetta? Gys is what Morton should have been. Jetta gets 10 tackles every time he plays. Blease has done nothing wrong but have his leg snapped. The nobodies we have are Green, Sylvia, Bate etc - our senior guys who are the anti-Judds: they never fail to not have an impact on games.

None of our players are well-rounded. McKenzie, Scully, Bartram, Jamar can't kick. Davey, Jurrah, Dunn, Sylvia - no effort. Moloney, Jones, Green, Morton - ineffectual. That's more than half our squad. The closest thing we have to a gun is Frawley, and then Trengove. Truly lacklustre squad. New coaches, new CEO, new president (love the big man obviously) required.

We're not AFL standard. I'm not angry, I'm just confused and disappointed. Really pathetic football every week. We were one of the best clubs to watch 10 years ago. No flair, no structure, no belief. So deflating.

Interesting people are giving Martin votes, radio was pretty scathing of him.
