  1. Clint Bartram out. Can't hit targets in a game with zero pressure. The weakest link.
  2. If he isn't close to goal all day I will throw my monocle in disgust.
  3. That's putting it mildly. I think SEN should give Andy Maher and David Schwartz a radio show together and 'forget' to plug in the microphones whilst intelligent people are put on air nearby.
  4. Crowds are good this year. 72,331.
  5. Nicholson dropped? You have to be kidding. He was sensational in close. The only change I'd make is Bartram in for an unlucky Strauss.
  6. Maybe that's why I referred to it as Croc of s**t Media.
  7. Yes my tongue was planted firmly in my cheek. I've got a contact at Croc (of [censored]) Media too and I'm afraid to ask him about this issue. What's unhealthy is stealing a #1 draft pick of a club after he has played 30 games. But we rorted the system, so I will not be like some on here and burst into tears. Swings and roundabouts.
  8. My mates and I are convinced he's going. Without speculating or making up [censored], he seems to have that same pragmatic, emotionless drive that Judd has. The curse of Norm Smith, remember? Plus, it'll be a nice bonus if he stays.
  9. I like Gerard Wheately, Jason Dunstall, Dermott, and David Parkin. Morons like Mike Sheehan, Luke Darcy and Andy Maher who are such unintelligent sheep make me clench my fist with fury.
  10. 30 possies, 13 tackles. Puts many of his teammates to shame, every week.
  11. Jetta was great tonight too. Will probably be very underrated game, but was excellent.
  12. Strongly agree. Clear top 3 tonight, Rivers, Gys and McKenzie. Great effort Dees.
  13. This is an absolute fabrication. He is the #1 'tries to do too much' player in the AFL, and gets caught constantly. I think the ratio of him 'breaking tackles' to 'getting bogged down when he should have already handballed' is about 1:10. He has kicked some lace out gems, sizzling 50m passes this year but they happen once in a blue moon. As for watching the full 120 minutes and keeping one's eyes open, right back at you.
  14. We pressed. They broke through it twice in the first half, and zero times in the second half.
  15. I like your posting and reasoning DD but this sentence is just garbage. Did Carlton look like a very in-form team? They didn't to my eyes, and the Crows nearly beat them over here. They were great against Geelong, but have an uncanny ability to play well against the Cats. They have plenty of third rate players and lost one of their best defenders 10 minutes in. What did we do? We bent over. Carlton were turning it over as much as we did in the first half but because of our structure it never resulted in any Melbourne goals. I understand you (as well as I) may be scarred from that Geelong Friday night game a couple of years ago. But they were a much, much better team than Carlton '11.
  16. Dean Bailey: "Alright, boys, I don't back any of you to win the game, so we're going to play very defensively and reduce the final margin against us. Now let's get out there!" Inspirational stuff.
  17. Someone has lost the plot. Some sage observers at the start of this year thought Melbourne would stagnate badly this year because more load would be put on the younger players. We have stagnated badly, yet the culpable parties are not the younger guys, but the senior players and, in particular, the ghastly coaching of Dean Bailey. Whilst we lost Wellman, DB has been left behind by every other coach in the AFL, and any other senior manager would get fired for running his organisation into last position: inept, lost, listless, lifeless and unorganised. I would like the see the back on him as soon as possible, and I have supported him 100% before this year. We had no idea if he could coach before 2011; now we know.
  18. He is not an AFL footballer. Has had one really good game in his career and even then people here overate it (3 easy goals, 30 outside possies). Never has an MFC player made me want to bring up my food more than Cale. Like the rest of his brothers, incredibly NQR.
  19. This. I can't believe people on here are giving Jones votes. I was going to go on a big tirade but I'll just wonder if everyone missed the first quarter.
  20. Jones? Green? Good?! What have you been smoking?
  21. Hawks won the flag because of the '01 and '04 drafts. The four other important players that year were Rioli, Dew, Croad and Crawford. They completely f**ked up their drafting in the years you listed, apart from Rioli.
  22. Scully and McKenzie.
  23. Because rpfc spends too long on this site.
  24. If we're going to commit hari-kari, this is the sword we should use.
  25. Trade Grimes, his value is far higher than his output. Oh wait, we just want to bundle spuds to other clubs. These threads offer zilch every year.
