  1. So was anything said on the footy show? I'm in Würzburg, Germany and no one has any info on Hurley here.
  2. Whole club should have been relegated or banned from competition, as per any team caught doping in most other sports.
  3. That would make the scarf and song the only point of difference from most Saturday nights outside the Woolies then
  4. God I know that feeling. Clancy's Fish Pub as a Demons supporter. Painful.
  5. Very positive. Am I the only one who finds it irritating that, as soon as someone talks positively about the Dees for the first time in 15 years, all the others start moaning about him "banging on"? All they ever talk about is Richmond and Collingwood and that seems fine by everyone. God I hope we become a steamrolling juggernaut and stick it right up those pretentious pricks.
  6. Cats look terrifying but Dogs not doing themselves any favours at the end of some hard work
  7. So... Thought maybe this had been said so started reading last few pages and figured after the first that I could probably take my chances. I'm loving Watts' trick of finding position to mark or gather the bouncing ball, and seeming to get his opponent into a spot where Jack can just put his head down and run around the player. He's doing it a lot and I think his acceleration and then quality of delivery is a real asset of his game. I didn't know he was that quick until this year. I also reckon he's doing a job in the ruck, and agree with whoever mentioned how his agility and skills also basically make him another midfielder
  8. Here we go, here we go! Watching how debilitated the Rev has become due to his illness almost made me cry. Defeat the beast. Gawn just...just...brownlow material Dawes' mark on the hb line before our run of goals was the catalyst to our ascendancy, funnily enough. He was great. Watts' game was closure to his horrid debut. I'm very proud that he is a Demon. I'm now convinced that the Frost-as-forward experiment was a part of his development as a defender. He was fantastic at moments and so too were Hunt and Wagner. Petracca just gets better and better. Trenners' mark and goal! Go you mighty Demons! Edit: congrats Nasher! Please go to more games.
  9. Depends where you are moving. In Amsterdam there's the Australian pub "Coco's" which is as terrible as it sounds but plays them. Always really early though so best thing is to get the AFL Global pass, as long as you can reason giving money to such a corrupt organisation, which I do, cos I love my footy and can watch it without getting out of bed.
  10. Mate I live in NL and can get SEN audio at: http://www.sen.com.au/audio#yxZ0ryr6qJZBkZo2.97 It's largely a Richmond wankfest though and that moron Denham being a tool.
  11. It would be interesting to know what Carlton's list turn over during the last 3 years has been compared to ours. It seems more to me that the combination of culture change/build, list turn-over and game/player development that Roos and Co have had to undertake is different from any other team during that period, or arguably any period. We were a shambles. Not just our list, but the whole club to the very core. This season has shown that this has changed more than anything during the last ten seasons combined. I think. It seems. Who knows? There's been more fun this year, and that's the actual point of footy.
  12. Where is the Demonland GoT thread so I can outline everything wrong with this post?
  13. Yeah mate. I just keep picturing PJ knocking over pieces in his office, smiling softly to himself
  14. I'm from Melbourne and lived 5 years in Freo. I get the pull of both. What I don't get is the whole "home thing." Of course family's important, but there's a thing called skype nowadays and ya mum's gonna hug you as hard whether it's once a year or every day. He's a grown man and there's a world out there to grab by the throat and a life of premiership glory to write. Get it done big fella!
  15. And last year he reminded me quite a bit of a Nathan Burke/Robert Harvey hybrid. Glad they are taking this seriously
  16. I find this to be a very good and concise post. Would like to see Dunn in for the same reason as many often give: experience and come-uppance. Didn't think Garland was as terrible as others do, but if we're going to have a NQR older backman then it should be Dunn as he has more presence and a great Torp. That being said, I do wish Garland could rediscover his 2013 form. He seemed to be on an upward trajectory. Or was it just that we were so [censored]-poor he simply stood out by being as average as he is now? Edit: didn't like the look of original post upon reflection.
