  1. This was pretty much me as well. '94 was incredible and that Prelim against WC I was certain he was going to make it happen but they just shut him down. Each knee brought tears. He was a different player when he did come back after the third, which shows how gutsy he is that he fought back to make a contribution within forced limits. The reason #5 is my number
  2. True that re Trenners. I just don't mind that a degree of toughness is being shown again in a Dee's jumper. Then again, maybe it just shows we do things wrong every year!
  3. I like that this is the second year a young Dees mid has been under scrutiny for being hard as regards new rules/interpretations. Viney bump Mark II
  4. Voted Hogan because...well...Hogan! Bloke's gonna be like the king of a pride ripping the guts out of the poor sods cast his way. Petracca could be anything and in fact all of them seem to have something that may contribute to the sort of fabric that makes a great club. It's good to be excited again! Go Dees
  5. I also tried to open it but can't. If you can pm me text I'll translate it
  6. Sorry written in a hurry! My bad.
  7. So Hird's approach, according to the hun is apparently that "they" (his coaching team -never solely himself, of course) had a "sliding doors" moment in picking the team team to conduct the supplements programme. Their team-of-choice was not available until May, and so they went on to select Mark Robinson and Dank to run it. Seems all framed to once again take the responsibility off him and place it at the feet of others. He put the right "process in place", it was others who abused the process. This guy is an absolute joke. It's just such a shame. Even if he had done the hounorable thing, he sure isn't doing it now. The AFL is also a disgrace. It's response to this has shown that it is the puppet of corporate agendas and not, as it once was, the expression of supporter passion and symbol of what positive role sport can play in a society. Thank you, A. Demetriou, for throwing our game into the flames. You [censored] arse hole. I would support taking the game back off these pricks. [censored] them. http://m.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/former-essendon-coach-james-hird-says-wrong-supplements-team-was-chosen-20160114-gm69pj.html
  8. Yea was wondering as well. Really appreciate all the reports though, thanks to all
  9. Instead of "Keep your eye on the red and the blu-e' 'We are Melbourne, the red and the blu-e'
  10. Obviously old German heritage. High German would have it as "Weidemann" meaning Shepherd. Or technically, "man responsible for the pasture"Good nickname, Shepherd... Edit: either auto spell or big thumbs
  11. Ah yea sorry, was thinking Adelaide but realise now that was last year. OK we're still [censored] house...
  12. Not sure if this had been pointed out, but we've beaten four of the current top eight this year. I think that may just be defined as improvement
  13. Many things annoy me about this point of view. Not least is that you never hear this argument in regard to an abominable fast food industry that costs tax payers so much more in health services. It also betrays a non understanding of human society that bases policy on moralising [censored] as opposed to realistic pragmatism. Yep, drugs can ruin lives. So can a lot of things. Would be less so without the stigma but with a concerted educational effort designed to empower people to make informed decisions as to what they put in their bodies. Nobody has any right to tell anybody what they can do with their lives and if you think otherwise, it suggests to me that you don't trust yourself in what you can and cannot handle
  14. You've been losing that battle for quite some time, Nasher
