Mitch Clark out with a foot injury ...
Maggot 1977 replied to jumbo returns's topic in Melbourne Demons
Who cares, we are not playing them this week and he is no longer on our list. Move on people -
I thinks its the 2nd ruck dilemma

Reported 1.4 million over 3 years for 6 games = $233,333 a game , don't feel anything but contempt for this self cantered [censored] bag

I think HL might be a good choice to run with Fyfe. Has the speed and leap and he will be around the contest a lot more than the last fortnight -

I would prefer Mitchie, I agree with the comments that Bail might have better instant impact if brought on in the last quarter , however who is to say that a player may need to be subbed out in the 1st quarter? -
IMO our ruck stocks are week. King looks a million miles away and I have reservations if he will make it at all. Spencil is aggressive and a beast but lacking in the nous of the game and most of the skill set of an AFL footballer Gawn needs to wake up one day soon and realise he is a very tall man - especially when he stands up straight and put his arms up over his head. - Time to start clunking 15 -20 marks in the reserve's Max !! Jamar has heart and is easily our best option however he gets soundly beaten by the games premier big men and is lucky to break even against the also rans of the competition. I would be going all out for a quality ruckman and at years end

along with Howe one of the more asute recruiting decisions in our recent history ( it would seem.. only very early) But get another pre season and he could be our J Kennedy midfielder for the next 5-6 years.

Well said Wiseblood - fast becoming my favourite poster on here. Depth is having quality AFL players been very unlucky not to be getting a game -take a look at the Hawks/ Cats players who missed out in rnd 1 - Langford , O'Rourke, Hartung Caddy , Stokes etc I don't believe its keeping blokes on a list for 4-5 years and never getting more than 3-4 so/ so games a season.

Any win against WC or Freo please !!!! Us WA based fans have copped it for way too long -
I have the feeling Vandenberg has not been elevated as im sure TDI would have noticed an announcement and some cheering/backslapping at training.

Did McKenzie not play for the Scorps on Saturday ? Think he might be getting a run in the 1's this week - a move which I detest !!

will I be able to find it on my I phone podcast search

To all the WA Melbourne supporters , is there a venue where we all get together to watch the game ?

I like Kent -
A Gold Coast side for comparison would be handy

We have kept much bigger duds on our list for much longer.... I wish him all the luck in the world but IMO I think he is 5% chance of making it.

I'm with Wiseblood on his opinion on Fitzy. I dare say we would also agree with our thoughts on McKenzie,Spencer,Bail & Jones. But lets save that for another thread. -

I love Frost's dash out of the backline. The chase down last week and the run in the Freo game were a great point of difference for our side. -

Fitsy first string of games last year were very. very uninspired and he did not warrant selection IMO. Kicking goals in junk time at the end of the season does not fill me with confidence. I guess by TDI rationale because of this latest virus/diabetes issue he has not had a "perfect pre season" and therefore deserves another crack at it in and beyond. I know he wont appreciate it,but in OPINION he is on borrowed time. -

No Fitsy - seems to be way down the pecking order at the minute - Rightfully so IMO No Angus is a little disappointing as I was looking forward to getting a glimpse -

but he has done a full pre season (blah blah blah) Not in my best 30

I thought Bail was poor (5k 0H 0M 0T ) on Saturday, Grimes had a solid game and took positive steps forward. Mckenzie(5k 5H 0M 0T ) after being serviceable the week before was sub standard. Bail & McKenzie were in the bottom 6 disposal earners on the ground for us , with all Subs and only Frost bellow them. I would like to know what McKenzies role was and on who ?
