I understand its early but Garland's reports are not inspiring for a player who had a very, very mediocre season -

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - AARON VANDENBERG

Would be nice to think that one of his old Sydney boys gave Roos a call to say have a gander at this bloke ? -
Jordan Schroder, Patrenko , or Brett Eddy - all 3 would add something to Casey and IMO a healthy , winning reserves side will be a great benefit for the seniors.

The weather in Perth is lovely also, awaiting the great training reports provided by our loyal members. -
2015 Trengove, Jamar (UFA), Garland (RFA), McKenzie, Howe, N Jones (RFA), Evans, Gawn, Fitzpatrick, Viney, Toumpas, Pedersen, Salem, Kennedy-Harris, Hunt, Cross, Bail, Riley, Harmes ®, King ® With Evans & Barry now gone that means the importance of the 2015 season for the likes of the above cant be understated !! * Trengove - huge decision will be made at years end * McKenzie - IMO no chance of being on the list in 2016 * Fitzpatrick, Toumpas, Pedersen, Bail, Riley, - Under Prtessure * Hunt, Harmes ®, King ® need to take steps
-
Love this new attitude from MFC !!! Professional , ruthless , attacking , demanding
-
IMO we keep McKenzie now as the back up run with player ( this seems to be the spot Barry was being groomed for) and delist Evans and pay out
-
Well pick 40 is on the cards now .... to delist Evans as well and use pick 53 ?? Good luck to Dom all the same , Its very hard to leave such strong cultural ties and I am glad he has had the courage to acknowledge this now rather than after the final list lodgement is placed.

No McKenzie on the track today??? Fingers crossed we may not see him -
Couldn't care if the whole field of horses fell over and died. Gambling and drugs are a blight on our society and bring out the worst in our human race.

I understand your point RPC that delisting a contracted player "may" effect moral of the playing list and even an outsiders opinion of the club. IMO however we would not be the first club to do this and we won't be the last. The club spin doctors should be able to run this into a position where we come off well. " great servant of the club ... , MFC is being ruthless and professional ... a new dawn ....sometimes tough decisions have to me made and this is one of them ..... yada yada " The simple fact is that unless a miracle happens McKenzie and Evans will not be on our list next year. They both have desire but lack the fundamental skills to succeed at the highest level. This will not change over the course of a pre season. They will spend the year at Casey before being axed next year and I consider this to be dead time, that could be better spent on developing a younger / project player or having a punt on a Pre season Draft - rookie selection . If your not going forward , you are going backwards and these 2 players are not going to take us forward. just my opinion
-
Who cares to what benefit it is for Evans, Trengove or McKenzie surely the benefit of MFC is paramount here.
-
Around at Casey I hope - if either is elected for 1 game next year we have not gone forward very much
-
I don't see it happening for Tappy. He does not posses the tank to accomplish our 2 way running that is demended , can this be accomplished in 1 pre season ( if he can get through it ) ??? He is not in our best 6 backman or forwards especially if Nev continues as our hard nut back pocket type.
-
Agree Picket - McKenzie & Evans were the 2 other names I was hoping to see on the delisted list. These 2 will not take us forward in anyway shape or form
-
Delist them and pay out contracts - easy
-
4 years is enough time - we are moving on. I was expecting one more but hoping for 2 more names to be on the list today.
-
I would still be expecting to have at least 1 if not 2 more changes to occur
-
Tapscott has been delisted
-
Tick, Tock ..... time is running out
-
Hope something happens with our list in the next 24 hours or I will be dissapointed
-
Trengove - Rookie list in 2016 - only if injury heal - retire if it goes pear shaped Jamar (UFA) - this year should be his last. Garland (RFA) - would want to rekindle his 2013 form otherwise his length of contract & value are dropping massively. McKenzie - delist ASAP Howe - 2 or 3 year deal IMO N Jones - throw the kitchen sink and all the cutlery at him. Evans - should have been paid out for 2014 - delist ASAP. Gawn - if he can remain injury free - 2 year deal. Fitzpatrick - It a NO for me - delist at years end. Toumpas - massive year for this bloke at the crossroads. Pedersen - needs to keep improving and performing to warrant anything more than a 1 year extension. Salem - our future 2 years Kennedy-Harris - as above. Hunt- needs to show something - 1 year deal only at this stage. Cross - can write 1 year contacts for as long as his body holds out. Bail- 1 year deal only,I would hope others develop and improve to force him out of our best 22 Riley - worth a 2 year deal - IMO could surprise a few this year. Harmes - same as Hunt King - same as Harmes
