Sounds like Mat Jones, Gawn, Petracca and Kent in recent weeks are throwing there hands up for a chance to make the round 1 team. Can't wait to see the debate on Demonland when the first side is announced for week 1

Hogan IS the difference , a forward line that has: Kent Dawes ? Garlett Hogan Gawn thrown in with a Watts, Newton, Petracca , JKH is a quantum leap from where we were last year.

Well I think Vandenberg might get a spot in my Supercoach side - I think he is the Big unit midfielder we need. I wouldn't mind if they tried him as a run with player against the likes of J.Kennedy, Griffin etc. H

Totally agree with the comment above. I would be searching for a point of difference in regards to head hunting a player. Being in WA I see a bit of him, his F&B year was played as predominantly a run with tagger, no doubt he can find his own ball but he is not the quickest midfielder nor has he the most penetrating of kicks and does not have the skills to be a dangerous forward option - 3 things I would looking to find for our squad. -

Please prove me wrong JT but IMO will not add to his 81 games and will be forced to painfully walk away from the game

I have asked this question before , but do any of the brains trust that frequent training have any inclination or "hunch" on which Rookie has shown the most promise and may be in line for a call up to the senior list?

How is Vandenburg travelling TDI ? Being a big bodied mid is he a smokey for elevation or do you have any hunches if anyone is a standout to get elevated to the main list ?

Does this include a set shot from just outside the goal square ?

Really appreciate the report's TDI as being a WA based supporter it gives a real insight. I still cant fathom how McKenzie would be in the mix ? His disposal is and IMO will always be a liability and out of our Midfield group sits well bellow the following options Jones N, Tyson, Vince ,Lumumba, Viney ,Cross, Newton , Watts, Mitchie, Bail , Salem ,Jones M , Petracca , Brayshaw . So he is around my 15th place midfielder - not a very glowing endorsement , but other than a string of injuries I se more value in playing a host of players before him.

Just from reading the training reports I would not be surprised to see Newton in the Round 1 team and also Mitchie who I think is underrated on here and had a great finish to the year. If I was a player right now I would be wanting to stay injury free over the next 5 weeks and making the most of my game time during the pre season.

I would be very interested in how Newton is fitting into the team structure and if observers can see him slotting into the 22 easily? He is my Smokey for the year

If I lived in Melb my oath I would be telling him (Jordie) his short comings. Love your report Saty but "put themselves through hell both physically and mentally" give your head a wobble !! Hell is beating cancer or living through childhood abuse not being on an AFL list for 5 years & getting paid a Motza to live out your dreams.

Jordies stats are misleading - check out his handball to kick ratio and his long kicking ratio's. And the less we say about goal kicking the better !!! He is too scared to kick and holds up play to handball which upsets our fluency moving forward. Nothing wrong about his desire & commitment but IMO his disposal is too poor to be in our best 25. Happy to proven wrong !!

Jordie , needs more like 75% improvement in his foot skills before I would give him a game. Lets not forget the miss from 6M last year. Cross is our number 1 lock down player and say he is missing I would prefer giving ANB, Stretch or any of the young blokes a taste for a game or 2 rather than a bloke who is uncontracted at years end after a number of disappointing years at the club. Harsh maybe but will not be recontacted for 2016

No Petracca or Mitchie ?

If Jordie is getting a game in 2015 then we have not developed or improved as a team as much as we all wish / need to.
