  1. We'll go very close to winning today
  2. If you have a look at the stats we average: - More contested & uncontested possessions. - Equal in clearances. - More points per game - More inside 50's On top of this we have a greater average age & our average games is up to 51 from 33 last week. I said it earlier in the week I've thought for a few weeks we'll knock off the Hawks once this year. For some reason I have a feeling about tomorrow & don't under estimate the impact Trengoves inclusion will have from a moral point. We'll be in this game right up until the end. It's time we gave the Hawks a real contest.
  3. What a story... Absolute guts & sheer determination has got him back to this day, would have been easy to say it's all to hard and thrown in the towel. What an inspirational story, the boys would want to be up & about for this!
  4. I've had a feeling for a few weeks that we'd win one of the Hawthorn games this year & Saturday will probably be the most likely of the 2 encounters. The Hawks were average against a side we belted by 10 goals the previous week playing average football.. 5 minutes into the last Brisbane were within a kick. The Hawks are there for the taking for the first time since we last beat them in 2006.
  5. Why do our players REFUSE to give the ball to Jack Watts... He works his a$$ off to get free and create space and time & time again our players ignore him.. I've noticed it for a couple of weeks but today was as bad as its been. His our best user of the football especially going inside 50 and 9/10 times he will hit a target inside 50 and will kick 9/10 set shots. Just give him the freakin ball when he's open!!!!
  6. Deep down something had me worried for the essendon game.. Today I'm as confident as can be.. Brisbanes side today is absolutely terrible.. 10 goal win is minimum.
  7. From what I saw at training this morning Pedersen took full part.. Surely he didn't come down with an illness within hours... Not sure who will be back up ruck now, wouldn't be surprised to see Tmac go forward and be the releaving ruck with Brisbanes lack off tall forwards
  8. Yeah I don't get it either.. I'd rather the extra run from Hunt or Harmes but then again could be a good game for McDonald to play against an undermanned inexperienced side and Mcstay did kick 3 against us in that loss at etihad in 2014 and his back in this week Having a look at Brisbanes side this week, it's terrible, you know it's bad when a side has 9 changes. I thought this going into the essendon game but if we don't win this by 10 goals there's something wrong.. These blokes hardly play at the G and are going as bad as you can get and when your replacing almost half a side already missing their skipper, we'd wanna run all over them and win this game convincingly.. Hopefully the players don't have the same attitude as me and the essendon game.
  9. Got down to training for half an hour this morning.. Noticed no Newton or Grimes.. Hunt, Harmes, Kent, ANB, Omac all training so safe to say the bench will read 4 of those 5. If it was me, I'd leave Omac out but Roos has stated he'll play so one of Harmes or Hunt we'll make way I reckon
  10. I'd say Grimes for Jetta but hasn't Grimes been playing a half forward/wing role at casey ? Hardly doubt he'll be bought in to fill Jettas role. I'd day Salem to go back into his half back spot for Jetta and ANB in to take Salems spot in the midfield. If Kent is fit who does he replace ?

Hayne finished in the NFL.. I was never convinced he would make it, typical media & uneducated people got carried away with his pre season form against nobodies.. Good on him for having a crack but looks like he got in befor the 49ers didn't bring him back. At least 7mate will show decent games this year!
  12. Where is this kid at.. Personally I think he hasn't shown anymore than he did in his first few games. When he first came into the side he was a hard nut who laid big tackles and worked hard around the half forward line. I feel like he just coasts through games picks up 15 touches each week, uses it fairly well but he just has no impact on games. He was released off half back and into the midfield yesterday and he didn't have much influence on the game. I am not having a go at the kid considering his only played 30 games and had his fair share of injuries, just interested to see where other people think his at.. He just doesn't seem to have come on and taken that next step yet
  13. Salem for Kent the only change. Dissapointing no ANB, his more of a direct swap for Kent
  14. Hopefully puts pen to paper soon.. West coasts lack of small forwards means they'll surely be inquiring about him!
  15. Could not stand this bloke in his first year at the club. He was everything he isn't now.. Now he's one of my favorite players purely for how hard his worked. He gives 100% each & every week, no'one can question his endeavor. I remember once reading when he went from playing VFL and working full time onto a rookie wage he had to work nightshift at bunnings, just shows the kind of bloke he is. Absolutely wrapt for him to be playing good footy, pitty his twice the value of Dawes but earns half as less! Ended up been a good trade for Gysberts.
  16. Yeah I think the 8 is set... Adelaides start to the year was sopposedly the hardest and they have come through 4-3 so far so there draw will only open up. GWS unless they run out of steam and injury riddled like last season they are in. West coast- can't see them dropping out, especially with the amount of home games they have. Hawthorn is still good enough. Dogs unless injuries catch up to them and they fall away which I doubt. Sydney, Geelong, North are locks. We win 10-12 games I'm a happy man. Finals for me this year was always going to be if everything fell into place, losing games like Essendon isn't that. Next year.
  17. Not that im a big fan but Lumumba would be a good chance to come straight back in.. His run & carry against the Dogs could be useful. Hunt stays for that exact reason. Wagner was solid again apart from the odd blunder. Garland will stay unless it's for Dunn, can't see why they'd make a change after 1 week. Salem will come in. Michie played his role but Salem is best 22, unlucky but that's footy
  18. I think the midfield will be where it's won or lost... They get on top and give Lynch quick ball then wer're in trouble. Having said that we are ranked #1 for centre clearances and the Suns are ranked #12 so if we get first use and get it into Hogan we are a good chance. Gawn should be able to take advantage of a relatively inexperienced Currie. The Gold Coasts run and carry is what worries me, just like the Saints last week. Jack Martin is one we have to watch for across half forward his played some good footy this year and if he gets going is hard to stop. I don't know what to make of this game being up there I'm slightly reserved in my confidence but they did lose by 20 goals last week. Dees by less than a kick.

It seems like that the NFL have a good depth of talent pool.. Guessing the huge population in the US means there's a deeper pool but its surprising how many players I watch and think "gee where'd he come from ?" Only to look him up and see he was an undrafted free agent or a 4-7th round pick!

    NFL

Good on him! 6ft 4, 229 pounds & runs 40 yard dash in 4.43 seconds... That's some kind of athlete, be interesting to follow his progress. Falcons probably grabbed Keanu Neale a bit early at pick 17 but he wouldn't have been there by there 2nd round. Thought they'd go with a LB like Darren Lee but safety is a spot they needed to address also. Seems like they've gone for Quinn's "fast & physical" style of play with the players they've picked. Read a few articles saying his trying to create his on Legion of Boom.. See how that pans out. Suprised we didn't take a QB, they got Matt Schuab to back up Matt Ryan but thought they might think long term and pick one up. I'm already hanging out for the season!
  21. There is Melbourne training jumpers & beanies, might even have been home & away jumpers too but I didn't notice it at first but their on there somewhere!
  22. Awesome deal.. Got $1200 worth of stuff for $360!
  23. Wouldn't be suprised to see Garland back in this week. We were undermanned down back last week. Michie is logical replacement for Salem as his played that half back role at casey and done well. May need to drop one of Frost or Pedersen as the Gold Coast will run us off our feet, I'd keep Pedersen as he provides a greater aerial threat & ruck option & actually kicks goals when he has a shot.. Gawn should be able to bounce back and dominate he inexperienced Currie and give our mids first use
  24. I think he acknowledges it in his comments here post match. “A lot of my possessions didn’t come off today, but we followed up and that’s why I love it. It puts you in the contest, makes it exciting and we end up scoring.” Righto mate... Never said he had poor skills just his not elite by foot.. Yet
  25. I know we are only 5 rounds in and the last 2 wins have come against sides who are down & out but we still won them. Having a look at the ladder I honestly feel that only us & Adelaide are the 2 sides outside the 8 that can make it. Port Adelaide, Richmond & Collingwood are cooked. I reckon Gold Coast will drop out for Adelaide.. Leaving a spot for us to take.. Maybe GWS ? The exciting thing is we are in the conversation. Really think us and & Adelaide are the only 2 out of it who can make it
