Any other dees getting plenty of it?

Good te hear Maric is looking good. Maybe Bails might blood him this season.

Sandringham- 9-8 62 (maric 4, buckley 2)

Frankston- 10-9 69

3/4 time

forward line not working- maric is only standout, newton doesn't look interested

Sandringham- 13-12 90 (maric 5, buckley yze 2, newton 1)

Frankston- 15-12 102

disappointing performance from sandy, especially considering they were 20 points up at 1/4-time.

maric was only real highlight- should be in a red and blue jumper next week

Newton doesn't look interested? Given how ineffectual our forward line was yesterday that is shocking news. Does this guy have no sense of opportunity?

I hope your wrong BarPen. Please let us know if he lifts in the final quarter.

Looks like the Melbourne disease is setting in at Sandy as well!

newton kicked a good goal from 55 meters out in the last

but frankston defence was far too strong and newton struggled to have an effect

Bate didn't play I take it?

6 weeks with a hammy... something is not right.

The 'hamstring' they speak of better not be in his groin!

Matthew Bate played (and dominated) the first half of the Sandy seconds. Moved freely, ran hard.

This was one of Sandy's poorest games for a long time. Frankston won becasuse of its intensity, desire for the ball and willingness to play as a team. There were 12 AFL listed players in the Sandringham team while the visitors were a no name team that was willing to put in and get the hard ball.

Very few players put their hands up to play against Carlton. Maric and Moloney were the better of the Demons with a nice performance by Jake Spencer especially after Stef Martin went off injured early in the game.

Matthew Bate played in the reserves and had 32 possessions including 14 in the first quarter in a 14 goal winning team.

Excellent news after all!

Mind you, if he didn't dominate in Sandy reserve I'd be very very worried.

Newton is really starting to [censored] me.

Bazza, I'd be curious to know whether Sandy's game style has changed this year.

Stef Martin was playing a fantastic game in the ruck until injured 17 min mark of the first quarter.

Garland started beautifully in defence & moved to CHF during 3rd Q, did some nice stuff. Really good game.

Frawley coming along nicely.

Spencer played a solid game for a kid first game up.

Newton, I'm dissappointed with his lack of fierceness @ the contest.

Buckley, a good game, but leaves so much behind, in as much as he could do a lot more. If he learns to work harder & give everything he COULD be a something.

Maric, a good little game finishing off others hard work. Can work harder & showed some class running around the wing boundary setting up a play.

Beamer did some nice things here & there thru the game.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sandy reserves - 2nd half

Cheney, looks ok, stands up to intimidation, plays well.

McNamara, looks allright to.

Bate got through fine.

There is nothing funny about being beaten at home by the filth from Frankston and it has been noted not many of the AFL listed champions did a great deal to stem the defeat esp the forward wonderkind Newton.

Zebgrowler, you are currently paired with the worst team in the AFL, so it's not like we've got great players on our list who are going to star for Sandy. Our AFL team is poor enough, how good do you reckon blokes that can't make our 22 at the moment are?

But we've given you a good run over the years with some good performances from AFL listed players helping Sandy to a number of premierships.

I think it's perhaps a bit rough to start having a go at Melbourne now.

Thanks for contributing Zeb, that's great. Please stay around and throw some more cheap junk for your own amusement.

More then happy to farm our developing players out to a variety of clubs if it means that they play in the positions that the MFC needs to groom them for!

So the loss was entirely the fault of MFC listed players?

Not injured a such, he is suffering from some sort of illness. He wasn't 100% all week.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
