goal scorers? time gone?

These are SMS updates from the ground... Unlikely to be particularly detailed.

Hopefully a phonecall at quarter time will provide some information.

We're struggling

Dees 2-3-15

Tigers 5-1-33

Obviously you guys are ok for scores.

If i have anything to add, i will be back later.

From Demonology:

Newton 1

? 1

Tigers Brown very good for short time

Sylvia chasing and tackling very hard

Our clearing out of defence very poor

Richmond putting pressure on in their forward line causing our skills to be poor.

2nd qtr just started

Wow. For a practise match there are so many people reading this topic!

Go Dees.

People would watch the damn thing if somebody would broadcast it. This is the only place we can get anything, dang 'nabbit.

Yeah Demonology struggles when too many people get on it. Hopefully faultydet will come back here if he can't get on 'ology.

Melb 4.4

Tiges 5.4

Newton with another... from 49

Good to see. If he can jag 3-4 it'd be a very promising outing.

Seems to be a fair effort from us given the team we have in (although the Tigers have a few of their guns missing too!). Why didn't they rest Nathan Brown?

or perhaps it's our Nathan Brown making a comeback?

Nobody apparently

Half time score:

Dees 5-5-35

Tigers 6-4-40

According to Faultydet on 'ology our best are Moloney and Sylvia and Richmond's best are Brown then daylight to Delidio. Troy Simmonds is winning in the ruck. He beat Meesen in the ruck contests but Meesen is doing ok around the ground. PJ doing better in the ruck. Game affected by heavy humidity.

Newton has two goals, Maric, Weetra and Zomer 1 each. (note: our goalkickers are a reflection of how youthful the side is tonight). Our kicking has let us down. Tigers are kicking to the scoring end. Crowd est'd at 10,000.

Davey, Moloney and Meesen are among those who started on the bench.

In the other and less important game of the night Essendon is giving the Western Bulldogs an absolute bath 3.11.14.107 to 0.6.9.45 and in the cricket it's pissing down so I suppose the Aussies will win on the Duckworth-Lewis.

Nobody apparently

Don't waste all that sarcasm on practice games... make sure you save your energy for when the real season starts and you really need it

Great news about Moloney.

faultydet, any ideas how Petterd is going?

will try to find out

Thanks!

Also any info you can get on Morton would be much appriciated.

(This is a fantastic way to distract me from doing a uni assignment... cheers :D)

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
