I think our Brisbane contract is up

But let me guess, the AFL will send us there anyway?

Of course. We haven't played Brisbane away this century.

It would be nice to play Brissy in Melbourne for once, but I doubt it when I think they haven't had a 'home' game against us for years.

So with that, the Manuka game, I'm guessing we play the other four interstate teams away as well (I'd say we'll play Freo twice again, hey aren't we due for a game against WCE at the G?).

Posted

We might still play Brisbane at home, it just depends if we play them twice or not.

Anyone know if we're playing Geelong in Geelong?

Posted

no it would be nice to only have 4 interstate games for once, instead of 6 like we have every year. i bet collingwood only have 3 or 4.

6 interstate games:

- Sydney (vs. Sydney)

- Canberra (vs. Sydney) - Home Game

- Brisbane (vs. Brisbane)

- Perth (vs. Freo/ West Coast)

- Adelaide x 2? (vs. Port & Adelaide)

I like that- should be what we get every year- but knowing the AFL we will not get a fair draw

Be good to finally play brisbane in melbourne (although highly unlikely) Who knows when the draw gets released?

I heard soon

yeah i wouldnt mind killing the 07 premiers at skilled

But with Pick 90 it will be difficult

Same, just to see Trav though!

Why the AFL facilitate a game (most likely at Telstra Dome) that would attract about 10,000 people....12,000 if it were blockbuster?

Next years fixture has the MFC playing six interstate games next year including our home game against Sydney in Canberra.

Could you provide any more information about the fixture?

Six interstate games is just like any other year.

Cheers, against who?

Who do we play in rounds 2,3,4 and 5?

Who have we got in round 22?

Do we play Geelong at Skilled?

How many Friday Night games?

Which intersate trip do we avoid? Please be WCE?

Who and where do we play in rounds 20-22?

What away games do we have at the Dome?

Do we play more Saturday or Sunday games in Melbourne?

Who do we play twice?

Who do we play once?

average 30,000 at gabba for that match

more this year with trav and maybe brennan playing for opposite teams

Grrrr.

Why do we allow that to happen?

Is it better for us financially, because it is an absolute pain in the behind going to that hole of a stadium anymore than we need to.

its not better for us financially. we make more at the g.

its a crock of [censored]. it is just the afl doing it to us because they can.

but 1 at TD is better than 2. the draw is slightly better than this year if we have 9 home at the g, one at td and one in canberra. hopefully the game at td is versus freo not essendon or WB...

Thats irrelevant.

You wont getting any more QLders going to the game because TJ is there. With respect to DemonDeb, there is hardly going to be a flood of MFC supports out of the wood work.

Brennan wont be playing for MFC in 2008 and even if he did would have negligible impact on the crowd.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
