we keep saying we're looking for another key backman... could he be the man? would certainly give us another option down back...

downside is age isn't exactly on his side, he turns 26 in february, but could still have another 4 or 5 years in him... would give us a pretty solid back 6...

Depends what the price is...

He's no real improvement on what we've got.

Disagree, however not sure he's worth it.

With Carrol, Rivers and also Frawley and even Bell able to take taller forwards we may not need another tall back.

Holland has a year left, if that.

If we trade Carroll, we need to get a ready-made replacement. Brown could be someone we can look at.

We won't be upgrading skills, or defensive ability, but clearly that is not why we're putting Carroll's name on the table...

Totally exaggerated comment, and the fact that he's been dropped many times within those two seasons for 'team balance' tells us something.

As Jaded said, he's on borrowed time anyway.

I was speaking recently with a long time North member and about where our respective lists were at. I questioned him about Leigh Brown and why he was trade bait. My perception was that he had all the necessary attributes to be a solid KPP, but couldn't cement a spot. His comment was that he's soft, there's a lot of bluster and bravado about Brown, but when push comes to shove he doesn't go when it's his turn. He said a lot of North supporters wanted him to be traded for those reasons.
