Richard Hadley on market

Justin Sherman wont be traded now, but Richard Hadley is now on the market.

He's played 41 games but can't get into Lions' midfield and is strong over ball and ability around stoppages.

After 2 knee recos, NO!

I rated Hadley very highly a couple of years ago. He hasn't been the same since he got injured.

Definitely worth a look.

"2" ?

I'm losing interest.

Hadley's story is a really sad one. He was talked about as the next member of the fab 5 at the tail end of the Brisbane run of Premierships. We can learn a lot from Richmond's mistake with David Rodan. Midfielders can comeback successfully from knee recos and it seems like they need a full year to recover and then another year of playing to get back their touch and confidence and mobility. But, as has already been pointed out, he's had two, not one. Definitely worth a punt if the cost was low.

No question of his talent, but our midfield stocks are already injury riddled. It's not a punt worth taking....

Brissie had plenty of openings in their best 22. The fact he couldn't crack the side on a regular basis means that he is not going to cut it.

Would rather take a chance on a late pick or rookie than Hadley.

I rate him very highly. He was only behind Rivers and Davey in the Rising Star a few years back. Imagine having the top 3 Rising Stars from one year all in your team...

I reckon he can make a recovery - it would be an awful shame if he couldn't.

Don't go there, His best bowling's behind him

Like Mark Coughlan, love him as a player but the knee injuries aren't worth the risk.

If he goes anywhere it'll be to Freo I would have thought, he's a WA boy.

Saw Carlton were interested but I think they're up to their necks in getting the Mercenary.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
