After reading that article expect more to come... Expect West Coast to go into massive damage control.

west coast and their supporters have had a horrible time. this is very sad. after all of the problems with cousins, kerr and judd leaving and now this

I'm a superstitious type and I'm experiencing the shivers right now. I know this might sound a bit hard but Mainy wore the number 3 at WCE. Same number as Judd.

It's bad karma and the feeling I have in my bones is that we might be very lucky that Judd chose not to bring himself and that number of his to the MFC.

Judd never played with Mainwaring, but he must have been close, because apparently he's shattered by the news.

mainy

apprently he went on a massive binge of marjuana and ectasy , following marriage breakdown

and his wife Rani, grew tired of his relationship with cousins

It seems strange for him to drop dead from ecstasy. Ecstasy overdoses end up with hypothermia and if he was in this state he wouldn't have refused help they would have taken him anyway. Sounds GHB related to me but only speculation from information provided, If he had a heart attack count methamphetamine as the cause and Cousins being involved. What ever he was doing was not in moderation. So sad. If Cousins supplied the iCE count his footy career over

Please don't make this about Cousins. One of Mainwarrings best mates spoke on radio today and said this was definately not the case. Mainwarring was Ben Cousins' biggest shoulder to lean on during his tough time and wouldn't have kicked the drugs without him.

He said alot of good friends (including Cousins) new he was going through a tough patch so Cousins decided to take him out for a quite drink at a local bar.

They were said to have sat and talked about all the issues for a while. Cousins, not drinking. Then when Cousins took him home something else happened..... Please don't jump on Cousins.... anyone who thinks he is stupid enough to jump on drugs the first chance he gets will never understand what type of addiction he went through..... not assuming there are some people on here who have been through or know someone who was been through drug addiction.

That Fox Sports article contains an ominous last paragraph.

Mainwaring's death ends a disastrous year for West Coast, in which key players have been embroiled in off-field scandals.

Ends? They better start furiously touching wood; the year's not over yet.

You have to remember Methamphetamine is one of the most addictive compounds on the planet and it is a drug people can't kick very easily, Majority of Addicts relapse

Readily overlooked by most here Mick. Many would think its a couple of beroccas and she'll be right by lunchtime.

Whether Cousins has anything to do with Mainwaring death is neither here nor there.

But for Cousins to be in the situation he is in when he is apparently "rehabilating" is indeed worrying.

And what situation is that exactly?

From the reports I have read that would the horrifying situation of trying to help out a friend.......

This is after Mainwaring helped him out earlier this year. I mean what a bastard.

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
