New MFC Logo

It's in the avatars section on Demonology. It is a very good logo although my favourite has always been the demon in the shield (far left of the three that are in another post).

The new one looks very much like the logo used in the early 90s. Very disappointing.

would you be able to put it up..im not a member at demonolgy

Not much can be done about the quality other than redrawing.

I've now got it as my avatar ... along with a new, Bailey-inspired username ...

I remember the players used this logo (in navy) on red training jumpers - they could do a LOT worse than use this as a clash jumper, because the current clash jumper is terrible

The way it looks there, it's not very different in colour to our normal jumper, so how could it be a clash jumper? Invert the colours?

The thing I hate about all organisations is that they change things like logos when you don't need to. Making changes like a new logo cost millions of dollars for an organisation. I loved the Demon logo we currently have. They could have modified it slightly in some way to include a 150 year thing, but this new thing is ridiculous and was probably made in Ms Paint.

Unless they want to revert back to the MCC logo. (Which I would appreciate)

LEAVE IT AS IT IS. It looked cool, I do not believe our club needs to constantly revert to the past, we need to look like a new age club and grab all these kids growing up while we can.

thanks for that CHAMP

here is all of the logos from the past with new (possible) ones aswell. (excluding the earily nineties one with the blue background)

That's what I meant TU - blue monogram on a red jumper. And it looked really good, for a training jumper.

Accepting the cold hard reality of modern day marketing I think whatever market research has indicated is acceptable to the uncommited population is acceptable for me. We can wear the old fashioned stuff for heritage round.

In actual fact if we win a cup a I couldn't give a flying fig what we wear as long as it is red & blue and called Melbourne/Demons.

if only the new one had a 150 or something to do with that...then maybe, but the M Flame and demon is sweet

yeah i tend to agree...if the club decides to get a new one they should call on the guy that made the M flame.

Ah, well I like it. Although I guess anything would be better than our current clash strip.

I like the idea of Brisbanes alternate strip where it starts with a thick colour on the shoulders and gradually fades the further down the shirt.

like as shown

i'm sorry but are u crazy!! i HATE the brisbane jumper and so do most people. if melbourne did anything like that i wouldnt buy my membership. i reckon that the best jumpers are the plain, traditional and old fashioned ones. thats why i like the idea of our alternative strips bieng either the 80's jumper with the lighter blue, or a red jumper with ye old MFC logo in the middle.

I have to agree. We don't need to try anything too radical. We're the oldest club, why not honour our history on our clash jumper?

i got a question, will the next melbourne jumper label 150 years logo on the jumper?? next year????

Was sent an email today from the club about the 'Advisory Panel' - in it they said that the club had a new logo for next year:

I for one am not overwhelmed by it. I prefer the current logo. Thoughts?

The current logo is much better.

Maybe they wouldn't need to readjust the logo every few years if they actually put some thought into getting it out there, instead of thinking "oh, gee, our Brand isn't high profile, I guess the only thing to do is chuck it out and get a new one'.

Grrr...

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
