  1. Still to this day the greatest game I've been to.
  2. A: David Neitz B: Jones (for his work rate no one really outstanding so far) C: half the team if they played to their full potential
  3. Hence the reason the MFC should target experience from other clubs. There is no doubt in my mind that Carlton held talks with Chris Judd throughout the 2007 season actively targeting him with cash. With the loss of so many players with experience and who are paid quite handsomely for that experience why can’t Melbourne start actively seeking players form other clubs? Before anyone says “Who would want to play for Melbourne?” Money talks, as I’ve said Chris Judd proved this last year. Bring in the experience to nurture the younger players and kill of the defeatist attitude at the club.
  4. Wouldn't this free up some money under the salary cap thus attracting some decent players from clubs with salary cap pressure? Chris Judd has proved that anyone can be bought at the right price.
  5. Last week i thought he looked a bit over awed to be playing AFL. i probably didn't articulate it in the best way (and was smashed for it). Today i ate my words. can't wait to see him bulk up.
  6. sorry what game were you watching?
  7. Morton - a scared boy playing against men
  8. I know I'll get shot down for this but...I believe the alternate jersey should be worn until the team is worthy of wearing the traditional Red and Blue.
  9. God save the Melbourne FC because they are doing nothing to save themselves.
  10. I'm not even angry? I'm just lost for words at what I'm watching right now. Best description I've heard so far is by a fox commentator stating "It's like pulling wings off flies".
  11. jumpertemp1.bmp I like the idea of Brisbanes alternate strip where it starts with a thick colour on the shoulders and gradually fades the further down the shirt. like as shown
  12. Rhys Palmer does look impressive but there is always that danger of the homesick footballer. Also like the look of Ben McEvoy.
  13. In the wrist. It has a vein that runs through it and when it fractures there is a potential for one end of the bone not to get any blood. It doesn't show up in x-rays until a week after so it's sometimes missed and a bone graft is needed to heal the fracture and supply blood to the other end. It has the potential to put a player out for a while with bone grafts but rarely would it be career ending.
  14. A fractured scaphoid is no big injury anyway. Generally if it's identified straight away they heal. Unlike mine that was not identified quickly enough and never healed correctly and I feel no pain or have any limited movement.
  15. As S**t logo to match our S**t facilities.
  16. Where ever the money is. I've maintained from the start he was about the money and luxury. I think he'll go to whoever gives him the best salary. I will take great pleasure in jeering him onto the ground next year.
  17. Why is Carlton out of the mix? I still think they are his preferred club. Channel 7 is pushing Melbourne, Channel 9 is pushing Collingwood don’t be surprised if he announces Carlton.

What makes everyone think he's not intersted in money and luxry? because he stated it's not about money? I agree with Jarka in that he will be the most hated player if he goes to Collingwood and will prove that's what he was all about all along. But I've always thought it's probably about the money and facilities. I'd love to eat my words but...
  19. It's been mentioned that we are in a good financial position to give Judd an offer. Exactly how much can we give him? Can we match $7 million over five years that Carlton can potentially offer? He states it's not about money but who in their right mind would give up a million or two? I think he will choose the club that benifets him financially.
  20. Judd will go to Carlton. The cash will be too much to ignore. Just because he states it's not about the cash, doesn't mean it's not about the cash. Carlton can potentially offer him $7 million over 5 years and West Coast will also benefit heavily by the deal. The other alternative is Collingwood. Better facilities, chance of playing finals. However for this to happen Collingwood will need to make a significant trade with other clubs to secure a high draft pick to deliver to West Coast. This could benefit us. Like everyone here I have heard rumours being thrown around. But one I have heard is Judd to Collingwood which potentially benefits several other clubs including Melbourne. Another point is, think of the instability Judd will cause at the club he goes to. There will need to be significant changes made to a playing list which will temporarily affect morale amongst the playing group. The only team this doesn't affect is Carlton who will trade drafts. Carlton has most to gain with little loss in the Judd saga. Don't get me wrong i'd love him at the club but I don't think it's going to happen. If he doesn't come to Melbourne the best case scenario is collingwood un-stabilise their team trading to obtain him and he breaks down first match.
  21. Heritage Jumper, It follows our tradtional design, It's part of our history & and it's ten times better than an all red jumper.
  22. Saw it and made a comment about it on the game thread. Disappointing that A there was no team mate there to back him up and B for Bell not showing a little intestinal fortitude.
