Oh well, lets just reward our current players/future draft picks/trade acquisitions with a nice new facility in the future, if Chris didn't want to hang around and wait then so be it.

If this is the real reason we were knocked back then his defection to Collingwood must be a mere formality because Carlton aren't in a better position than us at the present time.

Life goes on and I'm still looking forward to seeing Dean Bailey take the reigns and develop these boys like he believes he can.

Also I think it has been mentioned in many posts on this thread and others; Please Steve Harris stop being flattered by being taken into consideration with the big 3 Victorian clubs, I find it somewhat insulting, lets just move forward and work at building the club into a force it deserves to be.

P.S

While I am disappointed that my favourite player outside the MFC decided against joining us, its also a bit hard to think he may become a member of the filth, I struggled showing an interest when "you know who" traded his red v into black and white stripes, sorry Chris that bridge has been burnt.

Look at who just won the flag in emphatic style on the weekend.

It wasn't a club that sought out a single superstar player to fix their ills.....it was a gun team developed over time.

No bottoming out, no playing for draft picks, no chasing one messiah player or one messiah coach..........it was hard work, vision, planning, focus, and commitment that won the flag for the Cats, and it's the same combination that will win a flag for us.

Good luck to Judd......sorry he didn't come, but we have a chance to add the 4th best young player in the land to our list, and a list full of emerging talent.

Bring on 2008!

I am disappointed, more for the fact he would have bought sponsors and memberships with him from which we could re build the MFC Empire. I think we should still offer the pies the number 4 draft pick for pendelbury.

We aren't angry over the fact he didn't choose us. It is the parting insult that is infuriating. Shows him to be a money hungry, attention seeking princess.

with all due respect Brocky

none of us know what he wrote in that letter..or its context.. so what does it really matter.

the issue of training facilities to me is a non issue .. his manager would have fully known our position, so its inclusion anywhere is bemusing I concede.

He has his own reasons... what does it really matter..really ??

im not insulted.. i dont really give a rats..

all over red rover...next

Im dissappointed - but primarily because I just think its about time the Dees picked up someone instead of the usual teams - just to even the playing field...

But at the end of the day I think our forward and backlines are where we need to improve - Im sure Judd would have been great, but not long ago I was raving about Acker being a good thing for our club. Thank christ that didnt pan out...

Add to that a coach who believed in his players and just let them play without being too tactical or technical.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
