Well with the filth being beaten, they can now speak to Judd this weekend.

God i thought the cats deserved more free's of the umps, Ablett was awesome tonight with Ottens and Bartell.

Go Cats!

A game full of silly, silly errors, like handballing to a stationary player surrounded by the opposition - reminded me of another team I've seen play a few times this year..

But nevertheless, go Cats!

And Gary for the Brownlow :)

Agree, there was plenty of mistakes, but G. Ablett is simply great, people bandy the word superstar around waaaaaay too much, but this guy is a star and he will become a super star in the next 2 years.

Wow, I haven't seen much of Geelong and Gablett is better than I thought...

It's a credit to Collingw&%$! that they got so close because in general play they were dominated. Although people are raving about their young list and their outstanding finals series, a lot of things went right for them to make it this far. Give them a year of injuries like Melbourne had this year and they'll struggle to win more than 5 games (what am I talking about - they'll win exactly four games and get a priority pick).

From Melbourne's point of view, we beat them once this year and the second time they beat us by 11 points after we kicked poorly for goal in the last quarter and had half a team.

If Chris Judd wants to go to a club next year that is a chance for success and is weighing up between us and them, I hope he's been made aware that we're not far behind them - all things being equal.

Really, so were Channel 7 a bit slow, or just fooling when they asked if this was the last time we would see him play?

Idk what they're smoking, it was all over the radio before the game and Tim even said:

He isn't discussing it publically, but this is his last game. On the way off he was taking a good look around".

I heard the comment you were referring to, but my recollection differs from yours.

I certainly didn't hear Watson assert that 'this is his last game'.

COLLINGWOOD'S season may be dead but reports of the demise of Nathan Buckley's career are apparently greatly exaggerated.

Magpies coach Mick Malthouse reacted angrily post-match to an earlier television news report regarding Buckley, the Pies' captain.

The report suggested Buckley had decided to retire at the end of this season.

"That is definitely wrong — that is a total fabrication, I can assure you of that," Malthouse said.

"I've just spoken to his wife — Tania had spoken to him and they were mystified, totally mystified, by a totally false report."

- The Age 22/9

wakelin as well according to sports tonite?

From what I've heard (in the media), Wakelin will continue next season if Malthouse wants him to. If not, he'll hang up the boots.

His brother at Port will be retiring at the end of this season.

Don't shoot the messenger champ, only reporting what I heard...

If the filth can get so close then surely we are not so far away!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
