I just have the gut feeling that the wobblies might be more concerned now with shoring up their defences. Clements departure may have derailed the Juddernaut to Filthland :)

On the contrary, given they have lost their best defender, and that Buckley is looking at retirement, they'll want to bounce back quickly with the signing of Judd.

Nothing will stop Collingwood throwing everything they have at Judd. I can't see them not being the favourites after they meet with him. They have everything to offer Judd, even if they have little to offer the Eagles. At the end of the day, if Judd has his heart set on Collingwood, he'll go to Collingwood. Worse case scenario, he'll end up at Richmond (it's a lose-lose for us).

well..we'll disagree :)

I concede the wobblies have bargaining power etc in respect to possibly appealing to Judd.. But they werent expecting the Clement resignation. Buckley they know about. As good as Judd is they have midfielders who are ok. Sudently they have a huge..HUGE hole in their defence. I'm sticking by my thinking this has changed the map a bit.

Stil everything is conjecture isnt it :)

It's one thing throwing everything they have at getting him but it's quite another thing managing to produce the goods to the Eagles and, in view of the loss of other key members of their team, they might be plugging up one hole and opening a dyke.

No matter what i don't see Judd going to the Tiges for nothing, it just won't happen. While i share some of your enthusiasm for getting Judd i am a little concerned that we give too much and hurt the list. If it means missing out on Judd but getting good quality kids instead I will live with it. Look where the kids took the Pies this year.

If we miss out on Judd, but are able to gain another top 10 pick through trading whoever (Robbo, Trapper :( , etc) and it means we got 2 good young kids, i'll still be very happy. More so than if we give up too much for Judd.

Exactly

Even before Judd said he was coming back to Vic, I said it was important that we secure twp picks inside the top 10

This still needs to happen, even if we dont get JUdd

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
