Can someone please detail a full injury report from the game.

I can only get the match stats here in London.

Cheers.

Newton too looked like he had done something to his hamstring late in the last.

Add Bell with a concussion and/or some kind of neck injury, and we are back to square one.

And I'd just like to add, why on earth would they zoom in to Ben Holland when his arm is puffy and flipped inside out.

I wanted to throw up.

Dutchy- Dislocated and possibly fractured shoulder. Vomit inducing injury. Poor guy!

Davey- Hamstring

Bell- Serious concussion

Robbo- Knee, but kept playing

Jamar- Corked thigh, but kept playing

Newton- Was limping, but also kept playing

Pickett- Fatness

I know that isn't really funny or at all funny......

But it did make me giggle, and on a very sore night that is appreciated :P !!!

Officially ATM (although we know how good the MFC is with unofficial injuries)

Holland (dislocated shoulder), Bell (head and back), Davey (hamstring)

how come noone has mentioned Bate?

he was clearly injured with a corked thigh. he played on bc we couldnt interchange him, but it was clear he couldnt move.

he was gutsy to play out the game. ive had a corky and it is [censored] painful.

Well, if we're being serious here:

Neita- Knee

McLean- Groin

Wheatley- Shoulder

And the list goes on and on and on.

I think Bate also suffered a pulled heart string

The words gutsy and Bate should not be in the same sentence.

Bate was noticibly limping and his entire thigh was heavily strapped. couldnt people tell he was playing purely bc we needed him out there bc of injuries. he was struggling and i thought he played under the conditions manfully. he could barely jog

Injuries just suck.

As hot as Bartram and co. looked in their official Melbourne get-up, seeing them in the guard of honour rather than on the field just made my heart sank, and my head think 'If only...'

And to think that the list is now just going to grow. :(

Something needs to be done down at the club about a PROPER fitness test.. like as in making sure the players are actually fit to play? It's not rocket science.

Why on earth would they play Robbo when he is clearly so injured?

Leg injuries don't make you duck your head whilst backing back timidly. Leg injuries don't make you fumble and lift your head when you go for the ball in pressure situations.

I excuse Bate for not running well and being restricted, but courage is non-negotiable. I was very disappointed by some of his efforts, especially given the way a number of our younger players attack the footy like Bell, Jones, McLean and Sylvia.

Bate was also limping during the game and the skipper is clearly on one leg.

I also noticed Bate showing an unacceptable attack on the ball for an AFL player several times tonight. I am sure this didn't go unnoticed in the Coaches box either. He would be dropped if I was coach but severe injuries to team mates may save him. I would drop him anyway as he must learn what is expected of an AFL player if he wishes to improve. I would then make him watch videos of Brown and Bell attacking the ball, though maybe in Bell's case not the third quarter tonight.

Not to mention Moloney and Sylvia.

All season they both seem to string together 3-4 games then miss a week or two with "groin"

Maybe end their seasons and get them right for next year.

Maybe the injury toll tonight will force them to play again next week and resting them is not an option.

So how much of a team do we actually have left?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
