AFLW: PF vs North Melbourne

How to get a soft one back. Just duck your head and headbut Goldy in the guts.

Goldy having a shocker

Like a bull at a gate

We've had our normal quieter quarter.

Pushing Harris into the backline for the last bit of that quarter helped again.

Need a bot more from Heath and Hanksy and a few others across the ground.

Mick and Shae will reset them.

I reckon this will be a nail biter finish

Great first half. While I like the big handballs but we are over handing at times and north are more active for the loose ball around packs, as you can see them punch on our indecision. Harris is having a great game leading up and being link.

Big third qtr coming up.

This quarter super important. North looked stronger but we managed to stick with them in the first half

Big effort required

Cons on girls. You can do it.

Zanker having a great game as well. Playing on the best defence in the league and them accountable

I’ve been critical of zanker before but I think she’s been excellent today. She had 4 defenders around her there and managed to compete and bring the ball to ground

How was that kicking in danger? FFS

This is the most biased fkcn umpiring ive ever seen.

This is dean margetts at a west coast game sort of bad.

Didn't realise north were such a dirty, snipey team.

They will dial that right up in the last term (and get away with it)

We could have put them away that quarter but to lead going into Q4... who would have thought it.

Big last quarter needed to say the least.

Go Dees

It's eerily similar to how collingwood get looked after in the mens

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
