Cumming looc

Same with farrow, they say his kicking is a weapon yet none of his kicks are with penetration or fast and low. Just long to contests and he missed a few targets when under pressure. ( Yes All from YouTube clips so im an expert )

Also with Nairn , I'm sure the insight from club level is way deeper than anything the media or YouTube nuffys know, I've herd there is interest for him in the early teens so if JT rates him then luckily we have the opportunity to select ahead of them .

If you watch Jeff White's Dees MELBOURNE'S NO.1 focus on his X you can see why we are after Nairn. He coverts goals, marks inside 50, get ball inside 50.

Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves has a highlights reel of particular note. I think he will develop into an Isaac Heeney type who can play forward and midfield to a high level.

8 and 37 for 10 and 22?

I could see that happening.

7: Nairn

10: Lindsay

22: Pickett?

Can we stop with the obsession on Pickett, he’d barely in the top handful of small forwards .

Being related doesn’t warrant being selected

Maybe Farrow or Sharp prior to Essendon's pick 9?

They are keen on Farrow

Admittedly I've only seen a couple of highlights of Nairn and I don't like his kicking, it doesn't look smooth.

Nairn is an excellent athlete. His endurance and running power gets him involved in the contests. He’s a very good mark. Loves a goal. Yes his kicking is in need of work. It’s not poor, it’s just not smoothe like a few others.

If Sharp was available, Dees would have to strongly strongly consider picking him. We have Viney and Steele for maybe 2 or 3 years. Sharp would be the perfect partner alongside Kozzzy, Langford and Windsor. Sharp simply gets the footy… alot!!! His skills are ok but can work on them. Whilst it hurts losing Clarry, we would replace him with a similar version, 10 years younger !

That's what it thought but was just curious about the non sharp rumour. Would be shocked if he got to us and reckon he would be a good compliment to langford

Twomeys last article linked him with us which is why I put him as a suggestion for our last pick. You might even note I placed a ? next to his name.

Twomey’s mock draft probably drops tomorrow (released Monday before draft last year). Should give us a better idea of what’s to happen, however worth noting that Lindsay to us was fairly last minute last year. Had us taking Bo Allan in his mock.

They mentioned his phantom will drop tomorrow and that he'll post a revised late mail version on Tuesday.

Yes very true. Perhaps it can be strategically used though if Nairn or any one slips. We have tried to trade up just about every draft for a while now. Though this may be the one that ends that.

Let’s hope so, as trading up has not really been a winning strategy for us. It did net us Kozzie, but it’s also landed us with Laurie, Tholstrup, and Jefferson. It’s shown some chinks in JTs armor and stalled our list build IMO.

And with a hypenated name we can label him NHibbler?

I would have thought Lindsay and Dovaston are better than some of those picked to attend the draft night. Time will tell if I’m right.

Didn’t he change it to Lindsay in the end tho? Not trying to have a go at you just thought he changed it

Taylor looks a gun. Having looked at 5 players from this draft he is the best, closely followed by Sharp. That'll do. Looking any further just breeds confusion. Get 'em in.

With the picks coming in 37 will come up likely he's been told we will take him if still available.

Nairn will go first round, whether it's us or someone else. He's not going to be there in the 30's, or even the 20's.

A few reports are suggesting Essendon pick up Sharp at 9, knowing we aren't into him. I wonder if this is the kind of situation where it's good to have your cards close to your chest and not allow Essendon to know our move. Rather than allowing them to pick up someone we might want at their two picks before us. Feels like they have us boxed in somewhat.

Having said all that, I have no idea what it's like behind the scenes. Maybe it's impossible for info to not get out. I'm sure some on here would have some insight on this.

@heath55 & @kurtneverdied i urge you to read @goodwindees post earlier in the thread.

There is a lot more to recruiting than how good a player has been over their junior career

Totally get that - just find it odd that he said we’ll pick best avaliable rather than reach & the only mocks the have narin anywhere near the top 20 are ones that have picked up the link with Melbourne…

Somebody supposedly IDk, had said that Richmond met with Cumming in Mildura over the weekend and told him he was one of 3 they are consisting for their 2 picks so the above may be true.

Would be stoked if Taylor slipped to us.

I rate Xavier Taylor very highly. Excellent mark. Good pace (below 3 secs for 20m sprint). Smart. Can lockdown forwards. Determined. Has footy aggression. Doesn’t shirk a contest. Plays like Daniel Turner or Nick Vlastin type defender.

That was a "big footy" rumour. No idea of true or not..

It was actually @adonski (he was in the car with Richmond’s recruiting team on the way to Mildura)
