Like Neale-Bullen, Jackson and now Petracca, I'll celebrate their Melbourne careers once they're fully retired.

Before then, no.

Was it too much to ask for a genuine and heartfelt thank you to the club and fans?

Took him in as a kid, rehabbed his ACL, gave him all the tools to be a star of the comp. Of course he did his part and gave us 100% for up until recently

He has said nothing over the past 18 months despite all the controversy that ended up being true that he wanted out.

Would have been nice if he walked away with class and gave us the respect we deserve.

Compare to some of ANB's comments:

“Since day one, I’ve felt the love from the footy club, so to make the decision to head home is an incredibly hard one,”

“For the club to allow me to do the best thing for my family, I can’t thank them enough.

“They’ve embraced me as an individual, and they’ve allowed me to grow into the footballer, but also the now father, that I am.

“I’m forever grateful that I’ve been able to play for this great club and still have two more games that I want to pour everything into, to make sure we finish the year off really strongly.”

Glad to see the back of him to be honest, just a shame we couldn't get Humphreys out of those [censored]. Trac has shown himself to be a selfish brat and very much a changed person than what we used to know of him back when he actually liked the club and was a team player. Now he's just put himself out there as very much for himself and has too many irons in his fire. Yes he's a great player, but honestly I wouldn't want him in my team if I were playing AFL, I reckon he'd be pretty hard to tolerate.

We seem to have done pretty well out of the deal. He will smash us when we play GC no doubt, but whatever I hope he likes being on the Gold Coast. No class at all from the guy as he left, and he's going to be in the country's "no class" capitol, so that shoe seems to fit just right he's probably where he is meant to be.

It was pretty perfunctory but at least he did one. Wouldn't surprise me if Clarry didn't. Which would be a huge slap in the face after all the love and support he received over the years from the club and supporters.

Picky much..

What more do you want him to say? Thanked the club and fans and said he will always cherish premiership with his temmates.

He gave a thank you, we move on, he moves on, happy days.

Geez trac can’t bloody win.

I didn’t think there was anything wrong with his farewell post. It seemed genuine and heartfelt. He’s a legend of the club and a premiership player.

I wish Trac all the very best, worth remembering this guy is a life member of our club and we witnessed a premiership in large part due to trac

Anyone else struggling to fill in their timesheets for the past week?

Might have to set up Demonland as a client in the system

Why didn't I think of that?

i gave an example of what i want him to say with ANB. why he is leaving, was it a tough decision. something not clearly AI generated.

Wouldn’t expect one from Claz as we forced him out pretty much

I mean JUH did a pretty nice one to the dogs.

True, but the supporters didn't.

The patience and love he received from us went above and beyond and should be acknowledged, but I won't hold my breath.

I think it's just the time. There is obviously a lot of mixed feelings right now, we may never know the full extent of what has led to this.

I'm hopeful and confident that when he eventually retires, the bitterness and resentment will fade and that love for the club will come back.

Behaved like a sulking spoiled brat in his last 2 off seasons.

Never took a leadership role.

Decision making & disposal got worse over time instead of better.

Forever marked in the St Kilda disaster by spending his time pointing at teamates instead of picking up Milera Wanganeen.

He obviously didn't write it.

I don't really care if he did or he didn't, really just bemused by the hypocrisy from some to give Oliver excuses and leeway while scrutinising everything Petracca does.

Tracc come out to say thanks to the club, coaches and supporters yet?

Its not part of the Job Description.

To the Melbourne Football Club, thank you for the past 11 years.

Thank you to the club, the fans, and my teammates for making it so special. I'm incredibly grateful for the friendships, memories, and experiences both on and off the field. I'Il always be proud to have worn the red and blue, to be a premiership player, and a life member. A chapter I’ll never forget. ❤️

Absolutely pathetic. Just have to look at Curnow, and Mihochek to know what a genuine good fella does to thank their previous club.

Should have been vice captain.

Seriously, we didn't force him out. People need to stop using that line.

Even if we did, what the club has done for him and the adoration of fans through thick and thin, deserves some acknowledgement.

If he can't do that well it shows his true colours.

So Oliver hasn't posted so is not a genuine, good fella?

And another thing, is there really much difference in the two boys we moved on.

I have just searched for it and can't see it anywhere. Neither from Clarrie

Says a lot to me about these two
