Getting rid of a bad influence on the kids coming through is a great way to get the club back on track, the pick we get back and how much we pay is irrelevant.

Listen to anyone who actually knows Oliver and they'll say he turned a huge corner in 2025 with his training, he was highly motivated, and he was absolutely committed to the club. He gets the redundancy chat now and told that he's no longer really valued, that the club is far less committed to him than he is to them, and told he's free to explore his options. So he is. Yet EVERYTHING in the media (and this board, it seems) is focused on his "off field behaviour" from years ago. It's not hard to see why he'd feel that no matter what he does, he'll be punished for it. It's absolutely fine if you hold all players to the same exacting, unforgiving standards, but it's pretty clear most people don't.

Incredible. In how many industries could whomever tabled Clarrie's last contract keep their job. We might as well have taken $3.5-mil in cash and burned it in the centre square of Casey at the last family day.

Geez I can't believe he has seven years left on his contract.

He was a fantastic player but you don't give anyone that sort of time.

The media talks about non bullying but love to put the boot into anyone.

It's certainly Oliver's fault. His behaviour was tolerated when he was in the top 5 players in the game. Now, not so much.

But how can anyone come to the conclusion that the club isn't pushing him out ? It's patently obvious that that's exactly what is happening.

The club owes him no favours.

They have been very patient with him.

I don't like the criticism of him though.

The media is full of nuffies.

Let's just hope the club stands firm and does the best for itself and Clayton moves on and is happy elsewhere.

It would be with Heath thrown in and us walking away from most of the contract.

Pies now chasing Clarry which helps us deal with Giants. I would give a bit more and try for Gruzewski, who is not getting a regular game with Hogan, Cadman, Riccardi and Brown, keeping him out and he is a Victorian.

Giants bringing in a few players and Max might be trade able.

we should have included behavioural clauses in his contract. big learning there for the club.

Behavioral clauses, being subjective in nature, would not only be very hard to quantify in the agreement but even harder to legally test should it come to that

I think this is one i posted about and i would love to see happen, i think it makes a lot of sense, we're losing Trac and Clarry from the midfield, and if the Saints are pushing him out and might even contribute financially it feels like a really good fit.
