Is that you screaming every time Spargo touches the ball, Ghosty? Sounds like he has his own cheer squad at the game 😆

Nah that’s Claire. She’s his #1 fan. She’s a DA gal and her boyfriend sits with her and doesn’t mind her screeching like a banshee every time Charles goes near the ball. Well, he has no choice.

Could be Ghosty 😆

Not enough “I love you Luker” for mine

Poor Laurie getting 0 AFL games this year is crazy work. He’s been so so good all year for Casey.

He really deserves to get a chance somewhere else.

he was interviewed at half time and asked about what he needs to do to get into the afl - "i need to keep working to improve everything; if i want to be picked i need to take a spot from viney, claz, or trac"

he's been very good in the vfl all year but he's too slow, small, and poorly skilled to make it in the afl imo

you certainly wouldn't pick him ahead of those three he highlighted, and that doesn't even include pickett, rivers, or anyone else rolling through the midfield

in an ideal world he'd compete with sparrow, but the latter is much better running the defensive half forward patterns role than laurie

who says he's ineligible?

it's not like the paternity status changes

I think you're correct - if he nominates again hes eligible. Would only be ineligible if listed lo any other AFL club - which he hasnt

Any AFL boys there watching @Ghostwriter?

Maysie, Spaz, Chin, Rooey, Riv. There are more but they’re the ones I’ve seen

The problem is and he know it, who does he replace in the side.

I would have liked to see him play when Viney was injured during the year. Also certainly could have been sub a few hundred times ahead of Sharp.

Spargo dislocated shoulder. Going to be harder to trade him out now

Autocorrected spargo to sparrow

Shoulder is out

Horrid shoulder dislocation Spargo. Still out. Going inside to fix

Charlie Spargo off injured shoulder popped.

Fullarton looks much better down back than he does up forward. Not sure that’s enough to keep him on the list tho.

Love watching Mitch Hardie play footy. Tough as nails, never takes a backwards step, and has some skills. He's been a great addition to the team.

Given the likely delistings I'd certainly think hard about it

Adding the likes of Hardie, Bonner, Campbell and Smith instantly changed this Casey team. Terrific recruiting in the off-season.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
