Our injury list is beginning to look like a who's who of Melbourne footballers:-

Clint Bartram (knee) – season

Daniel Bell (hamstring) - 2-3 weeks

Brad Green (knee) - 2-4 weeks

Ben Holland (nose) - test

Daniel Hughes (groin) - 3 weeks

Travis Johnstone (Achilles) - 1-2 weeks

David Neitz (hamstring) - 1-2 weeks

Jared Rivers (groin) – season

Matthew Whelan (calf) – season

Adem Yze (Hernia) – season

Greenie may be up to 6 weeks?

Bartram is season? No point in risking him & needs to fully get over problem.

Rivers?? indefinite?

Yze may be season

Wheats needs op at end of season so maybe bring forward before end of season

Correct me if I'm wrong, didnt Ben Holland play out the Richmond game with his injury? Why then would he have missed last week and even still be test for this week? Seems strange for 'only' a broken nose...

They don't want to take any chances with dutchy, could make things worse, oh heaven forbid! :P

Oh and TomyMelb, Beamer and Jamar played for sandy ressies on the weekend...

thats still 7 starting mfc players, plus yze and holland who get a lot of games...and it will surprise me if beamer is back any time soon.

Just realised that's 4 of our starting 22 out from friday, I reckon there will be at least 6 or 7 changes this week...

Just a list of our injuries and what every one thinks of who might come back soon or who should go for season ending surgery.

According to MFC website, 4 players are finished for the season with some requiring surgery. Whelan, Rivers, Yze and Bartram have been named.

Adem and Wheels have been carrying injuries all year and the break will help freshen them up. Both have going for several years now. Rivers is no surprise to any of us. (has replace 426 this year! Perhaps we should name him sone of 426 altho 122 is not quite arithmetically precise!) Clint has not recovered from his surgery last year & is recovering from further surgery ? No point trying to bring any of them back this year.

There are some others who may be will join them before the seasons over particularly if MFC does not win any games in next 4 weeks.

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.     Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders.     Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership.
