1 day a week is what has been suggested

I guess itโ€™s better than nothing.

I wonder why he would be selling his property and moving to Melbourne for that though.

The realestate ad suggested heโ€™s got interests in other farms interstate, so potentially his farm is just for [censored] and giggles (tax reasons)

Possible yeh.

I was listening to SEN yesterday at 6AM and they essentially said heโ€™s going to be the forwards coach and is moving to Melbourne, and they knew based off how close they live to him down that way.

Hope itโ€™s true.

Rumour is; Tom Hawkins property in Geelong is on the market, and apparently heโ€™s a great chance of coaching us.

I thought I heard it was a 1-day a week arrangement?

Domain and Real Estate all over it, too.

Of course.

...and kids approaching Caulfield Grammar school age.

Caulfield. Caulfield. Hmmmm...

Perhaps as per my post this morning?

Back to his and his dad's alma mater for the kids.

Most likely. Iโ€™m hopeful for him. Fingers crossed.

Gees the Melbourne Cats is becoming a thing. Will we offer interests in golf courses rather than farms though?

I always liked Geelong. ๐Ÿ˜€

An alma mater mea culpa is required: @biggestred is of course correct. In my now-54-years-old memory of events, the schools of my high jump rivals - one being the aptly-named 'Jumping Jack' Hawkins - have become muddled.

I've since remembered the name of the actual CGS rival and, just now, the name of another rival: Scotch's John Hendrie.

I'm pretty sure I beat one of those two who took their football waaaay beyond my C-grade Amateur efforts. None of us could beat the Wesley kid though. That year, a few years after the Mexico Olympics, the Fosbury Flop became the death knell of our 'straddling'.

So, Jack might be aiming at a slightly different suburb than I thought, but our new home will still be just a quickie down Dandenong Road.

Doesnโ€™t TH have girls? His sisters went to Geelong College (and one of them dated Jimmy Bartel whilst at school). Donโ€™t ask how I know

He has a young son and a couple of daughters I think. He himself is a Melbourne Grammar lad

Cats need it back ๐Ÿ˜‰

Rumour I read; pick 3 is in our sights from the Tigs, with the intention of getting Robey, the idea revolving around a current and a future 1st rounder from the dees

Points-wise I think something like this stacks up;

Tigs give; Pick 3, 3rd rounder next year

Dees give; Pick 8, 1st rounder next yr tied to GC

Must have missed that.

All for this. Does mean no actual death ride... although ill still laugh my head off if they miss finals

Sullivan Robey. Seen as a bit of a bolter in this draft and it has been reported or at least mentioned on DL that JT likes him.

Pick 3: we can work our way through GCS and the lions matched picks and force then to pay top dollah! Then take the best non-corrupted available. Sounds ok to me! Although i would want a 2nd rounder not a third rounder back, in next years draft

Is Robey really that much better than who weโ€™re likely to get at 7 and 8?

I know JT likes him but weโ€™ve made a lot of having โ€œ8 first rounders over 4 yearsโ€ - burning a first to move up a few spots seems to run counter to that

*acknowledging itโ€™s only a rumour
