Petty the only player doing their job today

Hawks fans wringing about the umpiring.

My god, you're thrashing us & are going to play finals. Just chill

Chandler doesn't do anything. He's had two bad misses today (one of them bounced in for a goal completely unpredictably)

When the heat is on he is a [censored] player. Just scrambles like a silly person, like a dog chasing his own tail.

Bring on the hate. I'll die on the hill with this opinion. To me the dees faithful are clueless. Very few folks switched on to what a 'good player' actually means.

He and Oliver have had 3 clearances each

Clarry going at 60% and Trac at 56% DI

Both very very poor today

Only time we look like scoring is when petracca is involved

How is Van Rooyen getting a game when we need to try and get games into other key forwards? Zero football IQ

Then why are you here if we’re all morons?

Not this [censored] again Jesus

Go align your chakras somewhere else

This team is worst than West Coast. Essendon having the last laugh with that pick swap made by the MFC brainstrust.

Sick of Salem taking the soft easy option and stifling our play

yeah our play is dynamic and free flowing when Salem is not involved

TO think many years ago we could have gotten Guston...

Gee the difference in skills makes it two completely class of teams playing.

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
