Undisciplined, lazy football

Smacks of minds on end of season trip.

We are giving the dogs players 30 years to make decisions. Pressure is very average

And that’s exactly what that was.

Folks don’t wanna hear it but what Max said doesn’t reflect how the players feel. It likely doesn’t even reflect how he feels. But he had to do it.

I asked six players privately and individually how they feel and I’m not about to elaborate but let’s just say they range from not happy to very [censored] off. Again, people don’t wanna hear it but this is how it is.

Those very same players are the ones who kept butchering the ball going forward with long bombs, kept on playing the same way etc etc and gave up a 46 point lead

Players that give away 50m should get fined by the club

We give away way too many lately

Has petty gone to the back line ??

Langdon having a genuine nightmare

which is a pity for his 200th

Strong mark by Tracc but a totally lazy and stupid handball that gave it all up.

Come on. That's just poor.

don’t think so

Adams looks a lot like him

Some senior players like Trac, Salem and Langdon struggling today. Mcvee also having a shocker and genuinely shirked contest there.

Great to see Culley showing a bit. Love Rivers attitude and decision making today too.

We'll be a better side when Langdon is squeezed out.

His strengths are not needed like they once were when our system was once impenetrable.

He is the biggest butcher of the footy and momentum killer. Along with Viney. And has been for too long now.

If the Dogs kicked straight we are down by 35pts

Getting really sick of seeing that wide forward towards the pocket inside 50 entries.

Absolute [censored].

He is playing quite well

Petracca needs to lift and Oliver is unsighted this quarter. Young guys holding up the team.

Omg, unrealistic attempt when Petty took the mark in front of Melk. How is it unrealistic if the ball doesn’t even reach Melk???????

Oskar Baker really has become a far far better footballer tham what he was at the Dees

Umpire can get stuffed. That was a mark, and if Petty didn't mark it then Melksham would've perfectly. Nothing unrealistic about that. [censored] call from a [censored] umpire.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
