Would be sorely tempted to put Windsor on as a tactical sub. And with a license to move up and down the corridor.

What the hell does Tholstrup bring to this team? Not even VFL standard.

That's why these games are important.

We play every youngster and discover who to keep.

Anyone defending our coaches needs their heads examined.

We are clueless with ball in hand and when the opposition has the ball. Our skills are deplorable and we make terrible decisions.

Incapable of kicking to team mates advantage. Can't stick a tackle

There is absolutely zero to hang our hat on. There is simply no phase of the game where we play acceptable football.

We have a lot of overpaid players that should not be collecting a pay check

North paying $5.20 at half time. Looks juicy

Just about BOG for us at this point.

Who'd da thunk !! 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🙄

Jefferson definitely crashing the packs. Competing well.

Petraccas disposal is absolutely woeful.

Didn't see Melksham go off? Is it serious?

Thems good odds.

Given we have the kick Dr onboard.

Did I hear the commentary correctly that Chocco is the kick Dr.

Good Lord .

Should be sued for malpractice.

I am ready to admit that I do not understand what Goodwin is trying to do to set us up for success in 2026.

I do enjoy Langford and X playing more midfield. But otherwise I don’t know what the game plan is.

I wish they’d give Chin more game time on the wing.

Copped a hasty hip to the head.

We look stuffed at the end of that qtr, get the feeling north are going to roll over the top of us

Roos have had 10 day break. Watch them run all over us

he was after the first pre season session. and goody still wont play him in the middle 😐😐

Langford is contact shy. Can't play in the middle and had a pass because it's its his 1st year but he learning bad habits avoiding contact

Luckily North are a terrible team also and can’t kick

1.4 in that Q

They haven’t really clarified the extent of the injury yet. Just mentioned he’s trying to get feeling back in his arm.

Looks like a shoulder.

We are cooked without him.

Agreed I’m happy with Jeffo’s attack on the contest. It’s all you can ask for in game 5.

Well I never thought a bloke from the Goonies would be drafted, but there he was today on Kossie, punching away behind the play, chopping, kicking in danger and scragging know where near the play.

Which brings me to maggots. What a disgusting bunch today. Three incidents today of high hits not paid. Two kicking in danger. One deliberate trip. Nothing paid.

And they feel insulted by being called maggots.

What? That’s a nuts call.

Good to see Jeffo show something

He looked as surprised as I was when he kicked that goal

1st half

👍🏻Dees best Langford & Viney

👍🏻Jeffo and JVR contesting is good versus average Roos defenders

Kozzzy got hot for 3 minutes then went missing (did he get a knock ??)

A few contributions from others but not of any real substance

💔Goodwin allowing Mckercher to run free

💔Poor? Kolt, Lever, McVee & 😭Turner

Has been one of our best

Ahead but uninspiring. McVee is a worry. Rivers only 5 disposals. A lot of poor contributors

Stating the obvious CF, but we're a team that no longer matches the sum of it's parts. My concern with Christian is that I no longer (or rarely) see him trying to bring his teammates into the game. Would like to see him being a little more team orientated. That may be harsh.

They're playing up at stoppage but not at CBAs. The challenge for me isnt the kids not playing through the middle The issue is Petracca, Oliver and Viney are also there.

On a positive note Langford is a jet and Jefferson is showing a bit even though not suited to a second tall role.

Anyone else today feel as though this game has been rushed for some reason?

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
