So much to like about that but I want to highlight AJ. He causes chaos up front, so much of which results in goals. We counted 5 today.

Go Dess

I'll tip my hat to Goody, couldn't see this a month ago. Great coaching job to turn the season around

Feel like I could complain about not winning by more but it was more than enough in the end, great by us in the end but swans simply didn’t turn up absolutely putrid

Sydney is very lucky that wasn't a 20+ goal belting. They were equally as bad as we were good

Sometimes when a team is poor it's mote about how well their opponent plays, and how effectively the oppo takes away their strengths and exploits their weaknesses.

Today was one such example.

If the umpires didn't somehow miss that trip on Kozzie in the goal square against the Hawks we would be 6 straight. That sucked the momentum out of us

Clarry ❤️❤️❤️

I love him so much. Great game.

Guts and Determination.

His season high tackle count is 9.

He had 8 at half time (7 in the first quarter!), and 12 at the end.

Playing with confidence in the new system. Asa result their is less skill error as player dont second guess where to go. Good to see it in practice against a good defensive side.

Plus the team pressure is back. Great to see.

This is a very good way to start my Sunday in Seattle. I can watch the game in full some time later.

So good to see the lads happy - Clarry was going off and Trac is so focused these days.

GO DEES!

Just so happy with today’s performance. Please play like this on Kings Birthday 🙏

Actually, while I think of it, it's interesting to see the moves that they were doing at training in January and (early) Feb are starting to pull together. Really interesting.

And Narrm is winning games! GO NARRM!

Agreed our pressure was so strong it was fascinating to see Swans players seek the boundary line so often.

We’re evolving. First year players in Lindsay and Langford start on the wings with Langdon on the interchange…since when?

Lindsay played pretty much the entire game on the Warne Stand side…the new Langdon.

Don’t look at Petty’s low disposal count as a negative, he worked Sydney’s best interceptor in McCartin over all day, a selfless game.

Enjoy a marvelous win all.

Great call on petty.

I sat with a mate and his son in the forward pocket at the punt road end, one row back from the fence.

That's the first time I've sat on the fence at an AFL gamec in so long i cant even remember the last time- maybe the 1981 grand final.

So for half the match I had a close up view of petts. His work rate and physicality against McCartin was unbelievable.

McCartin is a beast, must have 10kg on petts, but petts didn't give him an inch. So important, one to deny intercept marks and two get tge ball to ground for koz and the gang.

I’m going to take a lot of things away from this game (Koz is the most dangerous player in the comp, Disco is a very underrated back/forward and will be a seriously important part of this team going forward, the kids continue to impress, if we can keep Melk as long as possible it will only help, Bowza is having a phenomenal year, Salo is finally getting some continuity in his footy and body, and while not always perfect is finally looking a lot like his old self)…

… BUT for some reason, and I may be biased because I love Claz so much But he looks happy and that intensity, fitness and those hands, those gorgeous lightning quick hands were back today. We have missed them. So good to see him back to his old ways, there is no one else like him when he’s like that. And that is what I will take away the most from today.

Team was amazing. Gaining momentum and confidence ❤️

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
