On Friday night it's he Dreamtime at the 'G clash between Essendon and Richmond. The Bombers will want to avoid another embarrassing performance against a lowly side whilst the Tigers will be keen to avenge a disappointing loss to the Kangaroos.

Saturday footy kicks off as the Blues face the Giants in a pivotal clash for both clubs. Carlton need to turn around their up and down season while GWS will be eager to bounce back and reassert themselves as a September threat.

At twilight sees the Hawks taking on the Lions at the G. Hawthorn need to cement themselves in the Top 4 but they’ll need to be at their best to challenge a Brisbane side eager to respond after last week’s crushing loss to the Dees on their home turf.

The first of the Saturday night double headers opens with North Melbourne up against the high-flying Magpies. The Roos will need a near-perfect performance to trouble a Collingwood side sitting atop the ladder.

Over in Perth, Fremantle hosts Port Adelaide in what looms as a fierce contest. Needing a win to crack into the 8 the Dockers but will be tested by a Power outfit desperate to prove they're not a bottom 4 side.

Sunday kicks off in Adelaide as the Crows welcome the Eagles in a game the Crows should easily win despite West Coast breaking their 2025 duck last week.

The round concludes with St Kilda facing the Suns under the roof at Marvel. The Saints need to make a move now if they're serious about finals, while Gold Coast are aiming to prove they can win away from their Northern fortresses.

as always, we need those around us on the ladder to lose - if gw$ with all their outs gets over the baggers it'd be better for us, while the pear getting up over walyalup would be arguably better for us, as we'd both join them on 5 wins, presuming we get up too

i would presume they would not be too far off - it's almost like we, as smaller melbourne-based clubs - are automatically shunted down the highway so that they can fill their quota of 9 home games down there

If we can replicate what we did last Sunday on a regular basis, then the Crowds will watch…and teams like Jeeelong might just want to play us more often at The MCG

the biggest surprise crowd for me was the 2018 one at the g vs gw$

37k and every one a dee, crowd going absolutely mental as we salivated for the return finals footy

generally speaking i'd say we have 16-22k rusted on fans who turn up pretty much no matter what

anything over 25k is a pretty strong representation for us

The Dogs are playing high quality, effective, quick footy and will trouble the Cats tonight, but taxpayer park is a tough place to win.

We always get forced to play there on some crowd number financial technicality.

I hate that venue except for the glorious 21 comeback we made there.

So apart from my ingrained dislike of the cats,yep may Bont rip it up.

My brother in law is a cats fan. I usually just send him a nice photo of Max when we play them.

That's all it takes to wind him up.
