To Kayo's credit the sound is now back on the 4k feed and the balance between commentary and crowd noise is very much improved

And we have a game... score wise

That is a shocking 50. Umps betting accounts need checking after this game.

I’ve stopped watching because I know for sure the umps and the feral crowd will get Port over the line 🤮

Miles Bergman = Temu Horne-Frances 😝

Wardlaw is so much fun to watch

What a gun he’ll be

the quality of north's kids is incredibly high

they really should be doing to more teams what they did to us

He's got good hands

Yeah we were. He’s taken a step up this year and if he can stay fit, he’ll be pretty good

That’s the best terrible game of footy I’ve seen I reckon.

That’s what I thought. I just enjoyed watching Port sweat more than anything else.

I feel a bit for North. When your team sucks, those games where you almost snaffle it but fall short hurt a lot. I reckon that last quarter was a classic case of “don’t know how to win” on display.

Butters with 27 great touches

and 13 tackles

he is a beauty and back to his best

Yeah for sure. If I was a North supporter I’d be pretty dirty on Caleb Daniel and LDU to be honest. Daniel turned it over a fair bit and LDU was caught holding the ball about 4-5 times. When it’s the senior/star guys costing you, it makes these losses all the worse.

I know a lot of Melbourne supporters like to downplay Collingwood’s prospects, probably because of recent history between the 2 teams.

However, which team would you be confident of beating Collingwood on prelim or grand final day at MCG?

Perhaps Geelong?

The Pies are peaking too early. Goody has timed our run beautifully.

Callum Brown dropped again

Surely we are on the blower to his manager?

Would definitely be a good get! Only knock on him is he averages less than a goal a game. But 24, super athletic.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
