Verrall admirable goal.

Sounds like the whole club is turning around confidence wise.

Great signs with JVR, Adams, Bonner, Sestan etc.

They are but their abuse toward him was very evident and consistent.

Seems to have found some confidence and belief in himself.

Wasn't he on St. Kilda's list for a couple of years also after leaving the Powa?

yes he was, but the saints are the saints at the end of the day he is worthy of another go in the big time definitely

Bonner booming kick to goal sq. JEFFO denied by umpire.

Strong mark by Jeffo not paid, no idea why... Baldi killing them in the contest..

Any body contact seems to receive a free for tiggers. JVR judging flight of ball superbly.

Casey holding sway everywhere except accuracy.

JVR the standout exception. He has re-discovered his mojo. Jacob's kicking in the windy conditions is magnificent. 3 goals from 4 shots.

For a game that we are dominating, a 16-8 free kick count against is staggering.

Really promising signs by JVR. Missed a few contested marking opportunities early then took a good contested mark followed by a great kick to AJ in the 50. Since then he has been playing very well. Getting loose in 50 for his marks and beautiful kicks for goal. Much needed confidence boosting quarter.

Campbell has been excellent, close to our best, but can’t go past Bonner who is having another exceptional game. 28 disposal to half time at 75% DE!

Sestan good again and Adams playing well too, with an outstanding contested mark that quarter in D50.

Time for a pie and get out the ****ful wind... Bonner (28 possies at HT), Baldi, Adams been good, Howes, Woewodin, Sestan, Billings and Smith all solid. Brown dog better quarter, disposal was still shabby but hard to blame him... Verrall a few ok things, Big Campbell was very good early. Jeffo, not really a day for him and Mentha showed a bit into the wind with his run. Laurie has had it a bit, but really not much damage and same for Cully...

Any chance of relaying the scores.

KC from Casey now on board Bluey.

KC Demons 5.38 to tiggers VFL 1.3.9

Do we have a spot on the list for Bonner in the mid-season draft? Also, Culley has had 12...those that are watching, have they been quality. I have only just been able to get the link on the AFL site to open, so haven't watched the first half.

Culley’s marking is good and a couple of them have been in big packs. Kicking though is a bit meh so far

Well on top at half time.

Goals van Rooyen 3, Johnson, Verrall

Disposals Bonner 28, Laurie 15, Baldi, Howes, Sestan 13

Breeze making it hard to get much of a read on things.

Not really a useful game for development of the gameplan due the howling gale.

Tigers packing the defensive 50 just makes it worse.

Only caught the last ten minutes. Forward 50 delivery unimaganitive

Will watch the second half

Mitch Hardy first mention goal.

JEFFO gets down and gets dirty.

JVR against the breeze goal #4!!!!

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
