James Fantasia has just resigned as Norwood CEO. He has led a brilliant regime in the SANFL. Hopefully he comes over and sorts out the mess we are in.

Brads a good man.

He has clambered onto the deck of a sinking ship.

Saving all he can.

Not sold on Smithy anymore, it’s been 7 months, he is, he isn’t, now headed off to the chateau for an undefined period of time, considering his options.

Not the sign of a man rolling up his sleeves.

Smith is doing exactly what he said he'd do. Take a year off, become President. How can you blame him?

Every year, the worst teams in the competition have good quarters. That doesn't promise improvement, it just means they're AFL players and sometimes things can click.

There is nothing of any substance in this email and until results begin to happen, and not 30 minutes every couple of weeks, the president shouldn't be reassuring fans with paragraphs.

On the ladder, the team we're most comparable to is West Coast, but the comparison on paper is very different. We are underperforming badly based on personale and that's a hard, simple truth.

Any reason as to why he resigned??

Who would want to work with Kochie?

Kochie doesn’t work at Norwood

Communication with the members has been hopeless at Melbourne for since ever.

Brad Green has been a breathe of fresh air.

He took the role of interim President which i was duplicitous of the the time because I wrobly believed he was under qualified.

He cannot be blamed for our disastress start to the season but is addressing to the members like we all wanted.

Fremantle have a habbit of dismantling us even when we were good so I'm not sure his comments will age well after this week.

But please demonlanders don't rip into Brad Green when he came into the position with a sinking ship around him through no fault of his

Thanks BDA

He is part of the problem unfortunately even more so as he was director of football and to use the vernacular he deserves to be ripped into in my and others view Why excuse him?

Apparently looking for new challenge. I just hope Tassy team doesn't poach him. He built the new club rooms at Norwood, attracted Gather Round, had success on field, set up club financially. On the surface would be a strong appointement.

He’s only 69 Old Dee. If he is healthy and fit, age shouldn’t be an issue at all. It’s his qualities and experience we are after.

He doesn’t seem to be in any rush to get started NC. I just wonder if his heart is really in the idea?

I've never heard so much gloss about a quarter of footy.

You know who else had a good quarter of footy recent? The Swans in last year's grand final, the last one. I'm sure that was the kind of footy they wanted to play.

I'm sorry if this rains on the parade but usually these little veins of form during a game are fools gold. Opposition takes the foot off. Just like we did in the first, second and last quarters. It's like celebrating how good we looked in an intraclub game or training session against non opposition. I understand we're reaching for something because we are bereft of any positives but please.

Next we'll be selling commemorative framed photos from the famous 3rd quarter performance in Adelaide.

In addition to the above I've noticed a lot of people are saying that nothing Brad could say would make the fans happy. I see it much a bit more as "There's nothing Brad could say that can paper over the cracks the terrible situation the club finds itself in". Frankly it has nothing to do with the fans and how good or bad our attitudes are.

I am glad that he has addressed the members. Brad is a stand-up guy and one of the most genuine people you can meet, he's one of us. However unfortunately for Brad he's putting his name to some sentences here that few of us believe. In addition to the great 3rd quarter effort we have:

  • What I can assure you of is that we have a determined group of players and coaches who will drive the team’s response.

I don't see determination when the ball is bounced at the moment. I see an opposition that usually wants it more and is ready to work us over. I also don't see a club of unity and players willing to walk over the hot coals for their coach, nor do I see belief instilled to the playing group.

  • Our next game is against Fremantle at the MCG on Saturday at 1:20pm. It’s a new opportunity to show what we’re made of.

Last week was a new opportunity and we got stung. We have another chance and I guess if we turn it up again then we're made of cream bs.

An update on the review would have been nice. It's almost like when the calendar changes all that goes out the window.

Can we just start playing some actual football?

Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.
