Remember the time we had 1 free kick to 21 at half time v the Eagles in Perth? 😂😂

Didn’t that one start the whole “noise of affirmation” [censored]?

I feel a Herbatron video coming on.. the melts are delicious.

I’m off to Marvel tonight with my niece who’s followed in my footsteps and declared her love for a team other than Carlton, except she goes for Geelong. 😭It’s me and her against the fam. 👊🏼 Now I have to pretend I want Geelong to win 🤢

A message to our Younger Members on here.

In the 70’s and 80’s going out to Windy Hill (Essenthing’s Home Dump) was a seriously dangerous task, i am not joking.
They wanted to fight and see blood. It was a long train ride home.
And when Sheedy came along in 1981 it actually got worse.
So don’t ever have any sympathy for the Essendrug FC. If they ever become extinct, celebrate hard….

Those young kids would have spent a lot of energy winning last week, and good luck to them. But the long grind will begin today

Absolutely.  Only Rnd 2 and already so many blow outs.

Some of these matches are gonna be unwatchable.

Early days but it seems like gulf has widened even further this season for some teams.

In fairness I've seen more effort put in by a teenager doing chores than essendon defending

That's a massive call Mr bigg!

Hope Port win by 100+….. 750 grams of Saxa salt into already gaping Blooze fans wounds.. couldn’t have happened to a better club. 🤣🤡

Surely it was just a football action,  Lobb was trying to spoil but couldn’t turn in the air. High contact yes,  but that was all

Best spoil I’d seen in ages

Disposals

Port 314 to 181 Tigers

An absolute mauling

100%.  You would often be under threat just going for a pee out there.

The Dawks, Cats (only at Tax Payer Park though), Peptides and Filth were always in your face, even after a win.

The Toiges supprorters were also the same around the Richmond area and its local pubs post match.

Even the Vic based Swanny supporters have been absolute arragont a'holes over the years.

Some of the worst stuff i've ever heard at the footy also came from the Saints grog squad (yep even they had one at one stage) during the 2006 finals series.  As feral as you'll ever see that night.

Never forget or forgive ppl.

It will only get wider when the Tassie side joins in…

As much as i agree Tassie should be part of the AFL, adding another Team to the Competition could be very dangerous

That’s a rock and a hard place, for sure  .

Just been to Bomberblitz    they are not happy

My kids don’t even care to be honest and I don’t blame them

Yeh same, next generation coming through just know the players don’t care. So why should we?

Absolutely agree  I was in the Cheer squad back then (70's) and it was always trouble. Not from their CS but other feral supporters

I bet it was. Out of all the VFL grounds i went to back then, Windy Hill and Victoria Park were the most intimidating by far.

Although i was at The Western Oval in ‘88 right in front of Rodney Grinter when he did a full redecorating of Terry Wallace’s Jaw. The noise was quite sickening

The Dog Supporters wanted to kill us all that day.

Need to shorten the season once they come in also.

Play each other once and kill off the stupid fixture with 5 random rounds of only a few select teams playing each other twice.

I thought we were lucky to get that one.

Won’t happen. The Broadcast Rights money is to high

Those 5 weeks are worth $Millions in Advertising

No real joy in watching Richmond getting pummelled, but Joe Richards doing fine out there for Port is a nice reminder that Collingwood gave up Richards, Noble (who is also doing fine at Gold Coast), pick 36 and, best of all, their 2025 first round pick in order to acquire a player who is, sure, pretty good, but no Xavier Lindsay.

I choose to add a celebration of Noble & Richards to the death ride of Collingwood's first pick. It is more wholesome that way.

Vic park was no picnic either....

FOOTSCRAY swingman Rory Lobb has escaped sanction for an accidental strike on Collingwood ruckman Mason Cox in the dying stages of Friday night's clash at the MCG.

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Will.

23 rounds including one bye per team. Have a split bye rd mid season.

Scrap rd Zero.

Play every team once = 17 games. Then your remaining 5 games are based on your ladder position from the previous season, top 6, middle 6 & bottom 6.

When Tassie comes in North or Saints fold, 18 teams work, 19 & or 20 won’t neither will a final 10 finals system. Even though we know it’s coming and the majority will lap it up.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
