Koz and Roy Boy having a water fight.

GW, reporting on the stuff that matters.

Importantly, who won the water fight?

It’s a wrap. Short session but great vibes. They’re champing at the bit to get the season going.

Leb is a very happy lad. He said it’s good to be back in boots. About his injury- listed as a skin infection, he thought it was an ingrown hair at first but the medics said it was likely a spider bite and it became infected. In any case, it’s been cut out. It’s his big toe which is now sporting three stitches and he temporarily can’t bend it. He’s not playing tomorrow but has been told he’ll get a run vs Freo next week.

Must be a Collingwood official paying off Spider’s to try curtail our season…

It's very impressive that you didn't say ''chomping''.

After reading these reports I'm still none the wiser on who is playing tommorrow! Surely it cant be that hard to have some sort of an indication based on personel present!🤪

I’d give the win to Koz, because the water fight ended when Roy squirted his bottle at Koz and Koz doing Koz things, sidestepped in a flash and the water hit Selwyn.

😬

Patience PF. Kev was here and I’m sure he’ll furnish a comprehensive report. I hope so lest we incur the wrath of big bad @Roost it far

Windsor in footy boots!!

Did some running with the main group - a big step forward from last week. Don't expect him to play tomorrow though.

You know who’s really excited to be playing tomorrow? That’d be Harves. He’s rapt.

Also, someone on here suggested a change of nickname for him, perhaps Bull or Bison. I ran it by him and he said it’d definitely be “very cool” to be called Bison. I said I’d make it happen which I shouldn’t have said coz how the hell can I make it happen?! 🤷‍♀️

Luker says his recovery will be loooong. Minimum two months. He’s doing very, very light exercises and stopping frequently. He’s still barely recognisable.

TBH I probably wouldn't have recognised him before, Sounds like he has quite a few mini-pre-seasons and weight sessions on the agenda.

There's your answer!

Anyone know how Kolt is tracking

Given the nature of Kolt's injury he just turns up to training but he is not doing any running or drills. Today he spent quite a bit of time with his friend Kentfield - gentle stretches etc, hand-balling, etc. They will both be a couple of months away based on official and unofficial reports.

Yeh he trained properly for a good half hour but came off and put sandshoes on.  Looked uncomfortable but just needs to heal

Is Windsor going to play?

Don't think so - but he did not come out with the "early group" but I think that was mainly because that group was doing some serious running, given they are not playing tomorrow.

Based on what we saw today I expect the Casey game will not have any AFL listed players, and as reported earlier it may be that Roy George has a run in the main game (even though not on the list?).

The ones i listed at the start are not playing tomorrow, the trainers said so.  And they did bulk running at the end of training.  Not ideal for a game at 10 tomorrow morning.

This was:

Trac, May, Langdon, Gawn, Salem, Spargo, Viney.

Luker is a long way from being back to how he was pre-illness. On Monday he seemed in good spirits, today not so much ☹️

My emoji finger gets tired easily.

So thanks everyone🥈

I had a giggle at Clarry introducing himself to Henderson "hi mate I'm Clayton, nice to meet you" as if he didn't already know.

Was nice to see the guys get around him too.  Can be daunting first training with a bunch of blokes you don't know

Had the pleasure of meeting our newest player, Jack Henderson. He seemed a little overwhelmed, (by being thrown straight into the fray, not by meeting me, at least I hope that wasn’t the reason 😅). He’s small in stature but has a presence about him. The boys were great in making him feel welcome and he’s ”stoked” to have been picked up by us.

I would have replied “Clayton who”!

i suspect it must be very hard to know that yr teammates are gearing up to play against opposition and you're stuck in rehab and recovery

My squad prediction:

B: Lever, Adams, Hore

HB: Bowey, Petty, Howes

C: Sharp, Rivers, Billings

HF: Pickett, van Rooyen, Sparrow

F: Chandler, Jefferson, Turner

FOLL: Campbell, Oliver, Laurie

IC: Langford, Lindsay, McDonald, Verrall, Fullerton, Sestan, Mentha, Woewodin, Brown, Johnson

Was Turner there?

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
