Seems Judd and his manager took our club for a ride. You may not believe what some posters are suggesting on here, but plenty of posters with good connections and sources all heard the same re: Judd wanting to stay.

So screw that ungrateful cry baby who we plucked from obscurity during Covid and made a great player, who isnโ€™t happy to play the role heโ€™s being asked to play

What a pathetic way to pay the club back.

I think this annoys me even more than his going...

Why are you acting like the player should be telling random fans they're leaving? I don't blame him for lying, it is what he would be told to do by his manager.

In time I can accept his move but that he consistently and without compunction lied to our dear Ghosty @Ghostwriter is beyond the pail!

Not sure he will be on my favourite list much longer ... methinks it is time to find a new avatar.

Few confident people were saying had signed. I was pretty sure he hadnโ€™t based off how long this had gone on.

Itโ€™s ok.

We will find someone to fill the gap and we will be fine.

Just need another good ball user.

Shouldnโ€™t be an issue. Right? ๐Ÿ˜…

yep, worse than pathetic. hope we all boo him

Is anyone really surprised? You don't wait this long and then opt to stay.

Freo is pulling dodgy on us and the club absolutely needs to stand firm. We can't keep bleeding out WA talent after a few years. It's not bloody good enough.

Also I am guessing this means we keep May? No way we can afford to lose two key defenders in one off season after having already lost Hibberd.

I know we wonโ€™t do that, as it screws us, but my god Iโ€™d be tempted to let him walk to the draft and end up at West Coast and rot at the bottom of the ladder for the best years of his career.

Filthy at this. Absolutely filthy.

Exactly the sort of selfish attitude and me first mentality that we need to rid the club of.

Youโ€™d think he was languishing at Casey all year, instead of being rushed back from a hammy and played thru truly mediocre form all year!

he was poor this year. curtailed preseason due to injury obviously a factor but i doubt we'll get anything better than pick 29 for him.

we'll find another youngster and develop them instead.

we move on with the players that want to play for us

and another reason to hope Freo never win a flag

i mean the waiting for the new coach seemed like a valid reason to wait

Who said he was staying ?

Girlfriend in Melbourne and just wanted to get some more midfield minutes.

He was part of our 19-22 group coming through.

Really disappointed. Really pi&$$&() off.

Returning home ?!?!

We gave him the chance after all the other clubs didnโ€™t draft him.

Loyalty ?? What is that ???

If weโ€™re a serious football club, then weโ€™ll tell him โ€œ if this is about going home, then you will go to the club that gives us the better pickโ€

Probably, but having a bit of a dream isn't rhw worst thing.

I'm not thinking the club is one bit surprised.

The language was there all along.

I disregard anything he apparently said, as is often the way actions speak louder.

Personally I dont give a ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€

A very average player for mine.

This just helps King develop a new team.

Onwards and upwards.

I do have empathy for those that trusted him.

This.

He wants to dictate where he plays? He can do that at West Coast and enjoy a lovely collection of wooden spoons and Hungry Jacks meals.

This will always be a possibility with WA players. Has to be a consideration when drafting from that state

  • AFLW REPORT: Gold Coast

The forecast said wind. The ladder said mismatch. The scoreboard said obliteration. Melbourne didnโ€™t just beat Gold Coast โ€” they dismantled them: 13.15 (93) to 0.6 (6). An 87-point obliteration, the Suns held goalless, and the Demons delivering their second-highest winning margin and third-highest score in AFLW history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharpย

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lionsโ€™ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Letโ€™s be honest, last weekโ€™s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper โ€” second versus seventeenth โ€” football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.
