Update for The Milk Man!!

One More Year!

Screen Shot 2025-08-25 at 4.32.08 pm copy.jpg

TMac also re-signed for 2026

With T-mac and Melksham on-board for 1 more year, our outgoings list is looking slim.

Talk of Campbell getting one more year as well though that hasn't been confirmed yet.

Leaves Billings, Fullartom, McVee, Spargo, Woewodin as end of year changes.

Club would ideally hold onto McVee.

That leaves potentially only 4 senior changes which leaves room for only 1-2 draftees and 1-2 trades.

Unless we trade out a contracted player or two.

Also Marty Hore has announced his retirement at season's end, poor guy. Hope he sticks around in some capacity.

is this official?

Eleven out of contract. I'd be saying farewell to all.

Of those eleven plus McAdam, Laurie, AJ and MJ, only McVee is a certain starter.

I know it won't pan out that way but it's time to be brutal.

Maybe M_9 but not brutal and possibly a tad foolish…..??

Not sure what you mean. Foolish was recruiting Billings, Campbell, Fullerton, Henderson, Sharp, and Hore.

I'm not sure that Woewodin and Brown would have been picked up had they not been F-S selections.

Neither have a 'point of difference' (not fast, not tall, not overly skilful, not goal kickers).

Sestan and Verrall have had two seasons at Casey and are, from the reports I read, 'just going'.

There's at least four contracted for next year highly unlikely to get a game on a regular basis.

My reference is to a clean out without sufficient picks to replace them.

for me, Mcvee is an obvious keep, if we can

Unsure..????.?.?..??
Spargo
Brown
Verrall
Sestan

Gone

Billings
Woewodin
campbell
fullerton
Henderson
Hore

I think I would give Verrall and Sestan one more

Spargo is a tough one, sometimes he is great, sometimes he is [censored].

Brown I have not seen enough to really know

Woewodin.... I wish.. but he just does not seem to have it

Campbell, Fullerton, Henderson, thanks for your time.

Billings. Yeah Nah

and I believe Hore has retired..? yet to be confirmed

Agree with all those suggested. A lot of spots to fill with only 3 picks and no valuable, tradable players. Thoughts on where we go from here. Is it another dip into the VFL play lists?

we also currently have 46 out of an allowed 44 players with Henderson and Culley as Supplementary listed players for long term injured... so we need to loose two anyway.

Simple solution - one pick for multiple picks.

Good heavens, I hope we don't resort to the VFL. We currently have three picks which we may be able to trade for, say, a total of nine picks. Kahlani may cost us three of those. I'd have no problem trading McVee, Spargo. May, Lever or Petty. We were awful last year, and had four fewer wins this year. We're rubbish. The only team above us that, IMO, we can get above next year is the Blues. Who on our list is going to make us better next year? About three will be better than this year. That's not going to make a difference to our ladder position.

We have as many picks as we need list spots.

If we need to draft 12 players, we will have 12 picks. But the last 7 picks might be all in a row at the end of the draft.

And another update for Old Mcdonald!

Screen Shot 2025-08-25 at 5.09.43 pm.png

R&B F - just a note that the games played have not updated - e.g. AJ and Hendo 5 each and Adams 1, Woey 21, etc...

The number of games is at the start of the season. It would be an impossible task to update it week by week!!

We have O.Berry listed as a Rookie B player. Never heard of him , can someone tell me why he is listed?

He's a basketballer (like Pendlebury) that we've added as a cat b rookie for next year. Was announced a month or so ago.

There is a player named Billy Cootee for Norwood who might be of interest to us.

Was on Essendon's list I think.

Quick, great ball user, smart, has composure etc.....

Also another couple that might be of interest.

Having watched both game the intensity of the Norwood v Crows reserves is a couple of gears higher than what I saw in the Casey v Frankston clash.

I would suggest our recruitment team head out and watch them closely.

Into a Prelim v Sturt/Glenelg.

Update for Tom Campbell 1 year extension

No biggie but Luker is 19yo, not 21

All good, I just realised it’s age at end of contract.

Yes, I’m talking to myself 😁

Doesn't bode well for Verrell with Campbell sticking around alongside the likelihood of Heath and White joining us.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #37 Kade Chandler

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
