Rioli and Noble to the Suns. They are doing well and will have some good HB run next year

With the exodus at Tigerland, early picks will be incoming. And a war chest of salary cap room. Is Tigerland a “Big Club” with big crowds….?

depends, can their doctors diagnose internal bleeding and spleen damage on the sidelines without a MRI/CT Scan?

Is Rioli a better player than Neal-Bullen? Trade price seems way out of whack between the two.

Bailey Smith to the Cats

Hope he’s a culture killer for them

Note to all who still blame the Demons for ‘letting’ JJ go.

You don’t have a choice in some circumstances

When good players miss out on a flag they will probably leave and fair enough too

Rate both of these players. Thought Noble was hard done by the Pies last year not to make it back into the team for the flag.

Just to be clear, the AFL stewards would not let JJ onto the field for the GF as Harmes' 'cramp' was not considered to be an injury

noble's back half of the year has been very good

losing rioli, bolton, baker as well as retirements of martin and grimes plus others is a massive glut of experience out of the tigs

They are in for a world of pain for seasons to come. Bolton is a massive loss and huge gain for Dockers if they nab him.

Some more updates from Sam Edmund

Dan Houston (Port Adelaide)

“He was strongly linked to Melbourne for a time and that did appear the most likely outcome before things further unraveled at the Demons,” Edmund said.

“There’s the possibility that he remains at Port, but with the Melbourne door closing they’ve been looking at other avenues.

“One of those avenues is absolutely St Kilda. There has been conversations between club and player here. My understanding is Houston has a level of interest in getting to Moorabbin.

“As things stand, he is one to watch when it comes to St Kilda’s trade period.”

Tim Membrey (St Kilda)

“He’s an unrestricted free agent, so that appeals to clubs. He’s only 30 and he’s unsure where he sits at St Kilda at the moment. He’s half expecting to be permitted to seek a trade elsewhere.”

“There have been preliminary conversations with North Melbourne and I think a few other clubs, but nothing has progressed too far given he’s yet to learn what it looks like at Moorabbin.”

Leek Aleer (GWS)

“He’s a very bright young talent and in and out of a strong Giants backline.”

“The phone has rung hot for him all year. He’s contracted until 2025 at the Giants. I’ve been told he’s determined to see out at least next year.

“But 2025 is a big year for Aleer to make a decision and he’s no certainly no guarantee to stay on.”

Matt Owies (Carlton)

“I still think the more likely outcome is that he stays.”

John Noble (Collingwood)

“They only had a rough inkling of (his desire to get to the Gold Coast), Collingwood.”

“There was an element of surprise internally at the Pies.”

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
