My husband is coming along, but of course he’s lost the good charm vibes after the Port loss so he’s essentially dead to me.

I hate myself for thinking this, but long term are we better off losing and getting a higher draft pick? Suns and Saints could go past us on the ladder all going well.

Oh Demonsterative, you know I love you but… what the [censored] is this all about?!

The benefits of a win tonight - which are legion - far outweigh a slightly higher draft pick.

Now, step away from your computer, splash cold water on your face and try to see sense. Thank you.

My daughter saw this in Munich of all places. Who would have thought u would see this in Munich.

They had Petracca, Viney, Oliver and Fritch.

Hopefully it’s a good sign for tonight.

Go Dees

Why do they all look like Mexican drug lords?

Sydney has to be the worst minor premier in the history of the competition. Not only did they lose to the wooden spooner, they also had a 100+ point loss in there.

They might be Adam, but I’d still trade places with them in a heartbeat!

Hmm could I train him in the next few hours to run onto the field and take a steaming 💩 on Maynard?

Show him footage of Gussy lying motionless and  unconscious on the turf with the Colllliiinnngggwwwoooood chant ringing around the ‘G. That should do the trick.

Careful WCW, might give some of us coronaries with this reminder and that would mean less Dees fans at the game 😱😂

Wow the weather forecast has really turned. A few days ago it looked like a clear night. Typical Melbourne weather.

If it’s a wet weather game I think we’ll lose. Of all the times we’ve played fast and attractive footy it’s been dry conditions (West Coast, Gold Coast, Saints). I was hoping a repeat of the Gold Coast game but with this weather, I think it will be a very dour affair.

Well I wish we wernt playing the filth but we are, just really hope we finish on a win.

But I'm happy to say goodbye to season 2024. Its been horrendous all round.

But I hope there are no serious injuries & cox has a horrible game because at no point do I want him to see him shoosh anyone or hear the USA chant.

At least mays not playing to hear him get booed.

Not going to boo that thug. It only fires him up & the filth will cheer him all night.

I’m talking about tanking Ollie, I would not be disappointed if the cards fell our way and we get pick 5.

Uhm… do I need to slap a fellow Demonlander?!

The cards will fall our way when we win tonight! A loss tonight would be heavier and more depressing than a regular loss.

We don’t just want to win tonight, we need to win. It is so important heading into our next campaign.

For anyone who’s at the posh function tonight in the Harrison Room (with Hassa and co.), there’ll be raffle tickets being sold (organised by Coterie) from 6:15pm. I’m one of the plebs selling them, so please buy a raffle ticket or 10. 😃

PS I’ll be the one in red n blue 😅

There's all sorts of titles for matches - the Derby, the Showdown, Dreamtime - this is simply "the Hate"

I think we're too tall down back. With the weather forecast the way it is I won't be devastated if there's a late change and either Brown or Woey come in for Tomlinson.

I’m in two minds about this WCW. I want to win like the rest of us. There is a ‘but’ though. I want to give JT and the club the best chance of getting the best talent into the club. Long term for our assault next year and beyond, it could in be the clubs favour to get a lower draft pick.

The players (the young ones too) understand the difficulties of this year and a win not inflate or deflate the group going into pre-season for 2025.

Btw, I’m not wanting us to tank or play below our best. I will be cheering hard for a win (I’m a competitive person and experience white line fever when the boys cross that white line), but If we don’t, I hope like hell pick 5 or 6 comes our way. If it does I won’t be disappointed

Is there a dead rubber premiership cup?

I believe it’s called the ‘Inconsequential Cup’….that I want us to win. Three reasons, I really despise the Filth, I’ll be at the game and I hate losing!

GO DEES!

He has a better chance of licking him to death Jaded.  Although you might need to jump the fence and level Mayturd first

Look at it as a win-win situation 😉

Hope for the win, be happy even if we lose.

Yep, all pending St Kilda and Gold Coast beating up on Richmond and Carlton.

If we lose.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.
